  1. I have upgraded from a Legend to a 60CS and have a question about the backlight given that I plan to use the unit strictly with batteries.

     

    With the use of the Legend, the backlight is only activated when the power button is pressed - it stays on for the length of a setting. To use it again, one simply presses the power button again.

     

    For the 60CS, it appears that once I turn on the backlight with the power button, everytime I press any button on the unit, it will come on for the set duration until I deactivate the backlight by use of the power button again.

     

    Do I have this right? I really only want the backlight to come on the one time when I press the power button. I am worried that if I don't deactivate the backlight after use and subsequently use it during the day, I will be inadertantly turing on the backlight and wasting power everytime I press a button on the unit.
