  1. Camping, fishing, trapping..will be adding hunting soon.

Reading, stamping dollar bills and spending them.

<---- Most of all can't you read I am a Girl Scout Leader I spend my free time working on how to get the girls their badges, helping in Girl Scout events like Lock In's, Thinking Day, Summer Camps. This takes up most of my time so I thougth why not get my troop into Geocaching!

and last but not least I breed & raise Hedgehogs!

This is G.W.Pooples " So is this what she is doing when she is not cleaning my cage?"

  2. Ok cache was placed out today so be on the look out for it. There are two TB's and two special geocoins that were donated to us from campexplorer and fresh lemon fresh dog. As soon as we locate where we put the Indiana geocoin it will be put in there as well.

This was the closest we could put the cache without it being on the Girl Scout property since they turned the cache down. So it is in a Logansport Park that is always forgotten.

    Good Luck

  3.

A merit badge for GEOCACHING IN INDIANA? I want one I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will see about putting one in the cache just for u Patrick... hope u like pink

    High Tech Hide & Seek

then click Girls 11-17 Interest Project Awards it is on page 7 it would not let me get u to that page direct.

  4. Ok we have been out of the game for awhile due to my back surgery. So I just wanted to give a heads up Got Girl Scout Cookie Cache will be placed this week. While Tribal Trails Girl Scout Council said no to placing it at Camp Wildwood it will be very very close to it. During the months of Cookies it is so close if you wanted to get a box or two you could. So be on the lookout :anitongue: O and they made a badge for GeoCaching too but my daughter has to wait for it since it is for the older girls.

  5. Thanks so much! Will check it out. My Girl Scout Troop is just looking for 1 to be placed in their first cache they are going to hide. Please let me know if anyone has one for sale. We are also placeing a few TB's... My troop thinks big!

  6. Not being familiar with the Forums..... ;) Guess we really missed the boat!

Would anyone possibly have a couple (2) extras to sell?

    Thanks so much,

    Dragon Ryders Three

My Girl Scout Troop is looking for just 1 to put in a brand new cache and track. Anyone got just 1?

  7. What a day for doing some caches.

Great way to work off the food from the Mini Wheresgeorge.com gathering in West Lafayette today. All but 3 of the WG members where Geocachers! I had to get the other half to work so I didn't get to do the new cache for the gathering. It is listed as Great Scott!!Where's George? in West Lafayette.

So we found some in Monticello until it got to dark. @ The Poor House we spied a bannana spider over looking the cache. @ Tornado Alley and kids was freaked out since there was a missing brick from one of the graves in the hillside. Son tried to look in as we walked by said he saw two big shiney things!

If we would have found the missing brick we would have replaced it. @Voigt we seen baby bunnies!

  8. Note to self carry extra D batteries for the Big Flashlight. We got to the first cache tonight and out went my flashlight. :P Kids had mini flashlights but we just could not find the cache in the dark. Daisy thank goodness was on a leash for once. We treked back to the car after replacing the kids batteries. Ya carry those but needed 6 D's. We are getting these France Park caches tommorow morning.

  9. I will be heading to Tippicanoe State Park on Friday we are going to check out a few of the caches around there. When we drop the girl off for the last GS Camp this year. By the looks of the logs they are still there. Glad to see France Park near Logansport as aloud 3 caches to be placed there. Kids and Daisy are going on a night cache for a few of them. We know a free back way in on trails from the Walbash River. Not doing the cliff one at night!

My oldest daughter the Junior is putting it before the Tribal Trail Girl Scout Council to maybe place a cache on the new wetland trails that open @ Wildwood in Logansport this pass summer. We hope to get an ok. :P

She is also doing some research to find a new ISQ spot near Logansport to help her with her Junior Bronze Badge award "Goal is to help out those that are no longer maintained. Falled stones being up righted! Weeds being removed. Trash picked up. ect."

  10. New GeoDog to add to our team!

Daddy brought home a mini Pin. she is so cute but hogs the windows in the car. Daisy took over the bed from the cats hehehe. Maxxie is not playing nice and is in trouble again from bolting out of the fence last night. One day back in the house and she just had to mess things up for me. I followed again. when will I learn. No caches for her this week. Me on the other hand I get to help break in this new thing with legs that don't quit and a mouth that won't leave me be for a sec. alway bitting at my tail. Well have to go check on one of my kids male cat Tom he is going to be come an it tommorow  I hope that don't happen to me! Unless I see the cache stuff I ain't getting near the car with Mommy. ~Beans

  11. Just had to pop in to tell you how excited I was today. Had to leave the dogs at home today because I was going to Knox for a Dr. Appt. results I am not a bag of skin holding broken parts just badly ding up. Anyways I have been wanting to do the Walk thru Wythogan and got my chance today. Soon to be hubby and I trek through spider web after web thinking no one has been her in awhile. Only to find the cache and see a TB! My very 1st TB ~ Homeless From Seattle. ;) And he was put there today! Anyway he has been fishing, seen one of those baby coons eating Mulberrys @ a public access in Winamac, seen a flying go~cart. Will be taking him to a few caches before dropping him off in Ohio on Friday @ Happy Holiday Hide in Eaton,Oh.

Then I was looking for caches for the trip back home when I found some caches by Torry  If the light holds out I just might have to drop in on two of them.

Torry you will then have to do a check for a special tag for pigs! ;) Will let you know if I made it there on this coming trip or not.

Ok off to do some night catfishing and let the dogs play in the river since they had to stay home today.

    ISQ~3 and counting

  12. Mutts!

Maxxie is part boxer part sometype of hound ~ Saved from Kokomo Humane Society

~ she still had all her dew claws and in bad shape when we got her.

as you can see she is in very good shape now!

Beans was said to be Shepherd Mix~ Saved from Kokomo Humane Society as well~

all his litter mates die of Parvo we decided to keep him and nurse him back to health. Wonders what calf electro will do for a sick pet.

Maxxie is the leader of this small pack. She is to smart for her own good. Can open heavy wood front door ,locked screen door, gate, unhook tie outs, chews fence gate to get out of dog run. She likes to visit all the dogs in our area. Now she has Beans tagging along! He use to not leave the yard. She always comes home if we don't chase her down first. The workers of Mount Hope Cem. give her treats. This is the reason she goes on hunts with us. Her fave spot is on the small couch with her head resting on a pillow. Beans however thinks he is one of our cats and lays on the back of the small couch in the pic window.

  13. What? No pig tags? ... Chauvinist!

I guess you could use the spoiled tag.. and I will list Pet tags!

I keep my cat tag for Maxxies other buddy Socrates he has to stay in the car on trips.

    Pettag.jpg

Sorry no pics of the other tags they are all in caches somewhere.

I got them at my local hosp. in the gift shop I just could not pass them up.

From the sound of it Patrick needs the King of the couch one!

O and BTW which race track is that in your photo's Torry? I go to Anderson Speedway all the time! Sometimes I go to local track but always looking for new track to visit.

  14. Yesterday one of my daughters managed to get PI on her face. I think she was looking for the cache to hard.

Kids if it looks like a mitten with jagged edges leave it be!

    leaflets three, let it be

    leaflets three, let be

    leaves be three, leave be

if leaves be three, leave it be

Here is a website that might help : shows what it looks like in all seasons...ect...

    Poison Ivy

As for a good soap if you can make your own or find someone that does Tea Tree LYE soap works wonders. Also Slippery Elm bark powder in a cold (warning hot water opens pores and lets it in more)bath will help after words use Witchhazle to help dry it up. You can also Washing with Dawn/Joy/Palmolive dishwashing liquid (any modern dishwashing detergent with a "degreaser" agent - not just normal soap!)

Here's a scary thought: The oil can remain active on footwear, clothes, and tools, etc. for as long as a year.

  15. All this computereeze language and legal gobbledegook makes my head feel like it's going to explode. My eyes are glazed over now. Maybe the technos in the Website forums can be of help. I have a basic speadsheet listing all the ISQ's, but I'll have to add waypoints and other data, a project I have been contemplating anyway, so I think I'll start it, in case anyone would want it and find it of value--It would include Indiana Spirit Quests, Indian Spirit Quests and ISQ-OC caches...

     ;)  :P

    I would like that please.

    your buddy.

    BUDDAMAN

    Ditto here

Circle of Honor was our first ever cache!

Right down the street from us. Kids like to ride bikes and play there.

Game who can find the oldest stone. They like to add birdseed, fresh flowers ect on stones that might not have anyone visit.

We went to a cache today and had to hurry a VET. was going to rest today and we wanted to let the family have peace.

Last cache today was a very old place. Those was not one that would be listed but personal caches. Great finds today!

  16. I cache with :

    my kids son 12 girls 9 & 7

    sometimes with boyfriend

    sometimes alone

    sometimes with our mutts

    sometimes we all go!!

Don't let the thought stop you from doing something that is so fun for everyone!

The only weirdo's I have came across are :

    Bitting Ants,

    Bugs going up kids nose

    Growling Raccoon at night ;)

and that dog friend of Cujo  on the first leg of a mult cache here in Indiana

Glad I didn't carry my gun. Half the time I forget my flashlight :P

My dog would just lick them to death.

Just enjoy yourself! Do easy caches first then the hunt for that one or this one will take over your worries.

My girls asked what was the value of hard work on something they made? ;)

My answer was the smile on the person who finds it!

  18. Getting ready to teach a mix group of 2nd year Brownies and 1st and 2nd year Juniors.

BTW :I am looking for locals in Indiana who like to help out.

    Heres the plan:

Make lots of different kinds of swap~its

    Ammo Can

    Pick a spot

    a. at our school on the Berry trail

    or

    b. at our Council Wooded Area maybe back on the new trail.

Learn all about GPS and the rules of Geocahing.

Plan a day trip to local caches that I have found myself we have a few with in walking from our school or my house.

Just keep telling yourself " You can, you will teach them all you know and if you don't know then you'll learn together." :P:):);)

  19. A fellow Wheresgeorge pal does it without a GPS so I gave it a try since there is one 2 min from my home. Found it and three more :D couldn't find one so I bought a GPS now the family and dogs love to go. You bet my troop will be Geocaching soon too. (Brownies and Juniors)

  20. Nope sorry specials are dog tags:

191 is a yellow spoilded tag

Trader is a blue woof, bark, whatever tag

Maxxie ate all the Bacon and Eggs as a reward for keeping Cujo at bay :D last night.Wheresgeorge.com (WG) there was a Tom ($2.00) in the Circle of Honor cache but I think some kids got it. I live 2 min from that one.

  21. Doggie Specials have been added to :

    :D

Also I know this is not Cache info but there is a WG mini gathering coming up on Aug. 14th 2:30pm Scotty's Brewer House in West Lafayette

seeing that WG members got me hooked on GeoCaching I thought I might get to meet a few of ya'll too. :D
