Well done... and in the dark too, this is very addictive...be warned

To keep your numbers accurate, you can simply delete those repetitive logs on that particular cache page.
....or a vigilant cache owner will.
LOL I'm sure the owner is a pussy cat really haha

Just got back from leaving at 10am this morning and found 4 Caches (although logs say 6, 1 log posted 3 times
Really enjoyed it, just used the Groundspeak APP on my Andriod and it got us to the Caches with 9 ft...not bad for a £6.99 App so much for the bad reviews, I think it's great concidering we had never done it before. ...battery ran dead so had to come home
Walked some lovely routes and my lad really had fun...fit to drop now LOL roll on the next trip out...got a taste for it now

Welcome!
For a UK perspective on what can be used in the UK try asking in the UK and Ireland side of these forums here link.
More chance of someone knowing what does, and what doesn't work here in the UK!
Thanks I will

GeePa thank you for that..lots of mixed views on all apps ...even more confused now LOL
Chilehead...On my APP store it constantly says, forces close, freezes..But I'll give it a go it's only £6.00

HI, I'm hoping someone can help me a little bit here...I have just discovered geocaching and with no GPS (yet) I have read and re read people get along just fine using their androids when 1st starting out...This is my problem..
I beleive I need to download an APP, after searching and reading reviews etc I downloaded C,geo...the read I could be banned from this for using it, so the same as the other person I uninstalled it fast...I don't want to get banned before I even start I saw that Groundspeak has an APP but sadly not very good reviews
So can somene please advise me on the correct APP to download, (I am in the UK if that makes any difference) so when this dadgum rain stops we can get out hunting lol
Thank you in advance

Hello :-) It'something different to get children out and about using their eyes and brains other than computer games LOL...I can't wait to get started ...Have you found any yet?
-
Hi, I discoverd all this afew days ago by complete accident, been lurking, having a read, trying to understand all the findables, trackables and everything else...bit confusing LOL...but with a little "nudge" from my 11 yr old who is finding all this a bit exciting, I registered to find out a bit more as I searched my local area and there are tons of them hidden within 6 miles radius of our house, and some specifically for children....
Hopfully with a it more "knowhow" we will be posting our 1st find soon....wish us luck
-
HI, been "lurking" for a week or so, to find out what it's all about and discovering there are lots of thses caches in our area, my 11 yr old lad told me to register as he wants to play as it sounds fun.....and to be honest anything that gets a child off the computer and away from the TV is all good for me!
In a right muddle :-(
in How do I...?

I did download the Groundspeak App..and if I'm honest I was impressed with it...although this is the 1st time I went out today and managed to find the 4 caches we set out to find taking us to a 9ft radius of the cache everytime...so I'm happy with that and one of them was a tiny one the size of a matchbox ...I wil keep using that for a good while, the downside is it does drain the battery fast, so you have to find them quick then turn off the GPS to save poweer
