  1. Im in the Uk and cache with an android phone (htc legend)

The official geocaching app is very good... it used to FC a lot, but since recent updates its much better

the other app you mention has some killer features but as you have said there is a small chance of getting banned for using it. (i do wish the official app had a live map tho)

geobeagle is very good, but you need to download the cahces manually into it which takes ages

I did download the Groundspeak App..and if I'm honest I was impressed with it...although this is the 1st time I went out today and managed to find the 4 caches we set out to find taking us to a 9ft radius of the cache everytime...so I'm happy with that and one of them was a tiny one the size of a matchbox ...I wil keep using that for a good while, the downside is it does drain the battery fast, so you have to find them quick then turn off the GPS to save poweer

  2. Hi Becky, I've only known about it a few days nad took my 11 yr old son out today to find some...Only armed with an Andriod phone and a downloaded Groundspeak app lol, it worked for us a treat, took us within a 9ft radius and we found all for we looked for....It was great fun...have a go :)

  3. Thanks everyone it was great fun...Bear..Hmmm I was not a happy bunny, they were watching us like hawks, I was vertually standing on it  but now I know exactly where it is I can easerly go back and sign it

I managed to remove the multi log  Thank you for your help :D

  4. Just got back from leaving at 10am this morning and found 4 Caches (although logs say 6, 1 log posted 3 times

Really enjoyed it, just used the Groundspeak APP on my Andriod and it got us to the Caches with 9 ft...not bad for a £6.99 App so much for the bad reviews, I think it's great concidering we had never done it before. ...battery ran dead so had to come home

Walked some lovely routes and my lad really had fun...fit to drop now LOL roll on the next trip out...got a taste for it now

  5. HI, I'm hoping someone can help me a little bit here...I have just discovered geocaching and with no GPS (yet) I have read and re read people get along just fine using their androids when 1st starting out...This is my problem..

I beleive I need to download an APP, after searching and reading reviews etc I downloaded C,geo...the read I could be banned from this for using it, so the same as the other person I uninstalled it fast...I don't want to get banned before I even start :( I saw that Groundspeak has an APP but sadly not very good reviews

So can somene please advise me on the correct APP to download, (I am in the UK if that makes any difference) so when this dadgum rain stops we can get out hunting lol

    Thank you in advance

  6. Hi

Im in Norfolk as well,(near Kings Lynn) been caching about 3 years and by no means an expert, but if you need any help please shout.

Thank you Redeeps I appreciate that, I'm near Wroxham and looking at the maps there are lots of theses all around my area...Looking forward to finding some :D

  7. Hi, I discoverd all this afew days ago by complete accident, been lurking, having a read, trying to understand all the findables, trackables and everything else...bit confusing LOL...but with a little "nudge" from my 11 yr old who is finding all this a bit exciting, I registered to find out a bit more as I searched my local area and there are tons of them hidden within 6 miles radius of our house, and some specifically for children....

Hopfully with a it more "knowhow" we will be posting our 1st find soon....wish us luck
