  1. Just ordered one for myself. Just wondering. Whats the packaging like, how are they been sent, and when? Thanks Adam
  2. Just need to remember the disclaimer.
  3. Can confirm its working as it was before now. You don't need to provide it with a waypoint code, all that does is provide a link to the cache but I don't think it will recognise GC codes. All you do is enter your mobile phone number that you will call it from in the international format. For example my number 07919..... would go in as +447919, note you drop the leading zero. You also input the URL of the image of the webcam. Then you call the German number and let it ring a few times. Simple. Within seconds you will receive an email with the photo attached. Its a great service.
  4. HTML Tidy is not a tool to make the code easier to read or anything like that, it is taking invalid HTML and making it comply with the standards. Would agree that the boxes for entering data on cache pages, user profiles etc could do with being a bit bigger.

    Icon Swap Meets

Right, here is what I think. The whole idea of TBs and geocoins is to create a story of their travels for the owner. If the TB/GC goes to a event and a whole load of cachers get their hands on it, then its still part of the its journey so it should be logged. I have logged a geocoin out and back into a cache to show that I've come across it, add my story, and explain that I wasn't moving it because I didn't feel I could help it on its way. I've also logged a TB in and out a cache that I had intended to place it in that was damaged. These are part of the items journey or story behind the journey so I see them as valid logs. The next point is coming back to the thread, is a logged out and back in the best way to log a TB/GC. As Jeremy has said, since your not really taking it from the cache, it doesn't really work. I would suggest encountered for the log type, as it describes how you and the TB/GC paths have crossed. E.g. adambro encountered Geocoin name It is my feeling that this type of log should add the icon to your profile, since as I've said, you're taking part in the item's journey. Adam
  6. You sure that works? I get the same error as if I try to access the original link.
  7. Does it in Firefox 1.5 and Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 2 so I presume its not a browser issue.
  8. I can't get onto the website either but I've just tried phoning it and its emailed me the webcam picture as usual. Maybe its just a temporary problem.
  9. Cacher of the Month The Cacher of the Month 2006 competition website (http:/www.aebrookes.co.uk/cotm) is now accepting registrations online for new users. So if you haven't taken part before, you should be able to sign up now. I will be checking that users have inputted their GC.com username correctly before enabling their accounts but this shouldn't take very long and I will let you know when its done. Then you will be able to log in and submit your results. I would also like to remind everyone that the last date of entries is the 15th. Results will be available on the 16th. As always, if you have any problems, let me know and I will get it sorted. Adam
  10. PS. The Spycam cache is great fun, quite a challenge.
  11. Ahh very nice, solved very easily, won't say any more. Only problem is that I'm 150 miles north of the cache and I don't think I can get there and back between my uni lectures, still I've got a growing bookmark list of solved puzzles that will come in handy when I visit other areas (oh sorry, the bookmark list isn't shared ).
  12. G:UK seems to class it as a FTF if you find it on the first day it is found, I've got a few FTF in my G:UK stats that were second to find etc...
  13. I don't really like the idea of having loads of tabs for different stats, geocaches, tbs etc, all it does it make it more difficult to get a quick overview of someones caching background.
  14. More likely to be like this: Me: "Hi, have you got any 35mm canisters I can have?" JM: "Wow, you're the second person to ask us that today! See that guy just walking out, he's cleared us out!" [Turns round to see rutson walking out of the door]
  15. That must be quite strange, "Hey Mr Jessops man, you got any 35mm canisters?". JM: "Why?!"
  16. You okay for storage and/or bandwidth?
  17. Ooh, neat. Now i'm even more impressed. I better make sure I keep it up to date now then.
  18. Nice one, I'm very impressed. Played around with the Google Maps API a fair bit myself. How did you get the waypoints into it? I presume its from a GPX file of the bookmark list. PS. Rutson you are definitely welcome to use the bookmark list, just as long as you keep placing caches and giving me FTF opportunities. Adam Its going to look great when there are MM caches along all British motorways!
  19. Thank you for your interest Moote. Whilst I do not consider the security requirements of my system to be that of banks, I am very keen to protect the interests of users. I do not believe it is a good idea to discuss such matters on an open forum however. I would be interested to hear from you as it sounds like you have a wealth of experience of this area that may be able to contribute further to the security of the website.
  20. 10 days left to get your January results in. Closes 15th.
  21. Show Ignored Topics is showing over the Forum Options button. Adam
  22. Erm, pardon? It was broken, they've fixed it. The search feature works now. They were using an older version of the software and have updated to a more recent version.
