  1. On the main screen of the Geocaching App - At the top of the screen hit MENU. Then hit SETTINGS. Scroll down and click on MY FINDS You'll get 2 choices - 1) Exclude My Finds OR 2)Include My Finds

  3. Yes I have been using the app on my phone. My biggest gripe is it does not get rid of past finds and thus they clutter the phone during future searches. The premium is looking more interesting as we write.
  4. Thanks for directly addressing the question. I think my best bet will be to locate a cacher using and I Phone that I can look over their shoulder and get some first hand exp.
  5. start here Premium Membership Benefits after that everything you need to know is in the Knowledge Books & Support Lots of information but I do not see anything the relates to using with an IPhone. The mention of a cable connection leads me to believe there may be limitations. OMG you need to use a cable, how exactly do you expect to get data on a device? last time i checked telepathy doesn't work Again lots of Information but nothing relating to the IPhone. And yes the cable is a limitation while working with a IPhone as there is no port for a cable on the phone so data transfer has to be through telepathy or not at all.

  7. Can you go into greater detail as to what a pocket query is and how it works? The filters look interesting for the ability to exclude some things. One thing that may be of help on my PC would be the ability to get rid of caches I have found. I think this is possible but would like conformation on that.
  8. What are the advantages and disadvantages of premium membership when applied only to using an I Phone? Reading the comments I am not sure that everything applies to the I Phone.
  9. There is a Find a Benchmark link at the bottom of the main page. Plus each cache page has a link to find the nearest benchmark. I do see the benchmark link at the bottom of the main page, Thanks. As for a Cache Page all I see is a benchmark list under navigation but that does not link to a list. I have seen benchmarks and waypoints shown on a map with all other caches. Not sure that was on this site or Google Earth, but a can't find it again. I have never used a less friendly web site than this one. There is no discernible logic to it.
  10. I know I have seen Benchmarks and way point listed and shown on the maps. But now that I want to see them again I can't figure out how to get to them.
  11. Can someone describe how Benchmarks are dealt with while using an I Phone? I can seam to search for benchmarks on my I Phone as all searches want to start with GC. Can I log a benchmark from the I phone? Any other useful info.
  12. What is C:GEO? might need it if the problem reoccurs.
  13. I have sent a request to the Mother Ship asking them to review this thread. The system is collapsing quickly as I have to sign in to every page change and it is refusing to accept my user name or password 1/2 the time.
  14. Interesting point. Mine won't work either in WiFi or 4G. Looks like the problem IS on Geo's end.
  15. Delete this question. It was my error in that I had the phone on WiFi. Today from 4 to 5 pm EST I could not connect to Geocaching with my I Phone. Each search for the nearest cache came back with "Communication Issue There was an issue connecting to Geocaching.com Please try again" Is this a server issue or a problem with my phone?
  16. This seams to be for Future Searches not Past Finds. The reason I asked this question is that my I Phone has this capacity and I just assumed the Geo Page should have it also.
  17. Geo has my location as down in Cherry Hill NJ while I live just outside Princeton. How do I fix my location on my computer? When I search for caches it displays those I have found along with those I have not. How can I exclude my finds?
  18. Is this the home page you are referring to? http://www.geocaching.com/ If so I do not see any access to searching via the cache GCxxxxx. How did you access the page you refer to above?
  19. I used to be able to search for a cache online using the cache NUMBER. The new home page, if it offers that option, I can't find it. Any ideas?
  20. Yes - goto your profile and find the "search from my home coordinates" link. Click it and then save/bookmark/favorite that URL into your browser. Now use that link to get into the site and see a list of local caches near instantly. That's not going to set and save the location of ones home. What you want is the Account Details page. Look for the section labeled "your location" in the right column and select the "change" link. Although that information is not made public you might not want to set the coordinates to your front page as sites that are more secure than this one can get hacked. I set my location to the park bench in the small park across from where I actually live. For you hackers, there are a dozen or so houses across from that park. Can you guide me to the Account Detail Page?
  21. It seams the new home page has me living in Cherry Hill NJ when I enter a zip code for Princeton. While Princeton would be better than Cherry Hill I would prefer the map could locate my house, which while in the Princeton zip code is 3 miles from the center of town. Is there a way to set the actual location of my home and retain it?
  22. I have no idea what finally worked but the TB is now in the right place.
  23. Could you expand on your comments as to what page this note has to be written on and what has to be highlighted? Sure! Go back to the cache page, you'll need to write a note. Say "TB Drop". Before you submit the note, scroll down to see your inventory. Highlight only the one you dropped, by clicking on its name in the list. Then submit your note. In the future, you can do this when you write your log for your find on the cache page. That way, it's just one log. But if you forget to drop it, use another note to the cache page, because you can't go back and edit your find to drop it off. The system won't allow it at that time. It's a good thing to keep the tracking number written down and saved, at least until you are finished logging the Travel Bug. Some people keep notes. At the top of the Travel Bug forums are some pinned threads that have tons of information. Also, using the link in my signature here, you'll find the Groundspeak Knowledge Books. Please feel free to ask, if you have any more questions, but some of those pinned threads carry a wealth of information on Travel Bugs, logging, etiquette, how to upload a photo, how to back log a TB drop, you name it! Your first instruction says go to the cache page and then you mention scrolling down to see my inventory. My inventory doe not appear on the cache page if by that you mean the page relating to the place I dropped off the TB. As near as I can figure there are 3 pages involved in the process, the page relating to where the TB was dropped, my home page that does have my inventory listed at the bottom, and the TB page itself for the source of the TB number. If these pages can be identified more clearly it would help.
  24. I am sorry fokes I can't figure this out. I have written notes in several places but can not get this bug out of my inventory. If clear instructions can't be written would one of the Modes just take it out of my inventory.
  25. Could you expand on your comments as to what page this note has to be written on and what has to be highlighted?
