  1. After 100 finds I placed two of my own today. I learned a lot. A lot of driving, a lot of hiking, and most of all, a lot of work. To deliver a couple of quality caches, rather than something a person threw together in a pocket park, took time and effort. Mine don't even have the fancy computer picts or fancy puzzels. That will come. I say "Thank You!", for the Congradulations. I will keep trying to do better. WD icon_biggrin.gif

At this point I would rather watch the parade than lead it!

  2. Got Bug...wants to travel. has location, but I don't know where this is? Dr. Petz is the bug. Can you give me some help to get her on her way?

e-mail me at wdsexton1@attbi.com Thanks! WD

    GARMIN...don't fail me now!

  3. When I started I went to all the close cache sights. Getting used to my GPS and the game. Did not take long to get tired of Pocket Parks, and Virtual caches. No challenge. The planning and execution of the trip are as much work as the hardest cache sights. I have spent more time trying to find the parking area 50 miles from home than I have hiking. I look for difficulty in the puzzle and terrain, how long since a cache has been found, or is it new. Some folks log in and say it took them 3 trys to find a cache, with a smiley face? I log my losers, makes me more determined. WD

Feeling rather foolish right about now...

I made the same mistake. I contacted Geocaching Central and explained my problem. My money was refunded two days later. Then, I found the Membership icon and tried again. It went through almost immediatly. PayPal sent me a password and I was good to go. Charter Member showed up in my profile and was even backdated. WD

  6. After I had been on the Geo sight for a while I went back to the main page. Where there was once an advertisment for Geo gear...NOW there was an adverstisment for a membership? What's up with that? Charter now...gear later, thanks! WD

I'm not interested in how much money J. makes, other than to wish him the very best and hope that he makes a million!

I am curious as to whether or not the $30/year is going to be enough. I imagine that combined with the Shirts and other things it may just be.

As for the shareholder comments... In a way, being a charter membership reminds me of being in a coop. The success of the Geocaching site is the interest of all members and non-members equally!!!

I'm not asking or even suggesting that Groudspeak provide disclosure in any way shape or form. I DON'T have the right to do that!!!!

I'm just a curious fellow and using the available evidence anyone can make assumptions about anything!!!!

Our local food Co-op charged a membership. The highest price was $25 for a lifetime membership, which I paid. After they got enough money, they let everybody in. Somehow I don't feel very special anymore. icon_frown.gif W
