  3. never seen the point in an in car DVD player or anything ofthe sort really....I am a gadget junky but I think cars should be for driving...esudes that on an LCD screen DVDs arent as good becuase of the failure of light as you move around it, the thin film transistor isnt always gives me this trouble on mine at home. DVD on a Notebook also gives this problem...and 6.5 inchs....is it really worth it?? Your more likely to crash with the movie playing. Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  4. Plenty of Internet cafes al over London my firend, you wont have trouble finding one down any major shopping street. Down Oxford Street there is a huge Internet cafe by EASY that isnt cheap but does the job, used it a fair few times whilst caching in London. Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  5. Yes it does depend onthe wall really, if its an old ancient wall then it shouldnt be allowed for the simple heritage reason. But if its a normal wall then maybe its ok if you sek permission from the wall owner. Hang on a minute whilst I bash my head against the wall for talking about walls so much, whatever is this game coming to! Oh I do love Ice Cream though....and sausages for that matter! Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk

  12. quote: Originally posted by Huga:Oh BTW Pid, the text under the big swirly picture thing on the "Intergalatic Microcache" page prints out very strangely indeed. Sort of slopy and cut through the middle. That's on both the normal and printer-friendly options. Using default print settings with a HP Laserjet 4050 from IE6 in Windows XP. Reason is because of a cheeky bit of CSS which makes the text look all frosty in the background, the Intergalactic microcache page is totally way over the top with all the applets etc, like the coloured taskbar for one....with that page I was just testing things out. Its pointless I agree but hey....the Aliens did it! Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  13. Which absolutly fantastic cacher sent you this message I want to get to know him!!!! LoL Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  14. Just a query really, mainly for all those GPS techies out there... Was wondering as you cant use a mobile phone on an aeroplane because of it interferring what would happen to the satalite guidance systems on an aeroplane if you turned on your GPS mid-flight? Was just thinking of doing this onthe way back from Germany...didnt for obvious reasons but what would happen? would the plane crash or would the GPS work? Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  15. I would laugh at the poor person that actually sends there ETrex! LoL Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk

  17. Try pressing the 'stop' button next to refresh on you browser. Always works for me and takes 2 seconds sorry to have bothered you so much. Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  18. It certainly sounds like fun yes! I think we should all go there for a geocaching.com holiday! Baggsy got the top bunk!!! Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  19. I think it does make sense to make the cache pag look quality, depending on how much you put in. I dont think it looks tacky it shoul just be kept to a minium and made to look suttle. Pid xxx Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  20. I have just planted my first abroad cache, I dont think its such a problem because if I cant check it I can get my brother or friend to do so for me, I agree though, plant the caches. Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  21. quote:Hmmm, OOOOOOOPS!I've never noticed the "Make it printer friendly" option. Never used it. 'till MCL pointed it out yesterday. Creepy graveyard comes out fine in printer-friendly mode. The "Bucks caching" logo is compressed so it fits on the page fine. Looking at the source, it's because it's set to width=90%. On the normal cache page, I'd imagine when it prints, it's set to 90% of something, but when it's on the printer-friendly page, which doesn't have the complex table structure of the main page, the image comes out as 90% of the printer margins. SO.......it seems that the issue is that Dan's/Pid's/whoever's pages aren't bad in their own right, just incompatible with the table structure used on the main cache page. Having just read Hugas post, I take back what I said....just change the thread name to LOL HUGA!!!! Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  22. quote:Dan: Most of the issues occur on the pages with the wide "Bucks Geocaching" graphic on them, as this pushes the right hand side of the page past the limits of A4 paper.Printing in Landscape is an option I guess, but it uses more paper, which usrely is a waste, when all the vital info is much more condensable. HEHE. And there was me thinking it was all my fault! Please could you change the title of this thread to DAN instead of PID now. LoL In my pages the 3 pictures that normally lie across the top I have always thought hte HTML would be better arranged when the picture are thumbnails linking to big ones rather than the big ones linking to big ones, that would also make the loading time less. As far as Microsoft word goes Jeremy....Not all of us are MS haters, mainly because not all of us like to reply on free Oerating Systems like UNIX and LINUX and have to use things like Lotus smartsuite to make documents.... HAPPY CACHING Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk
  23. Sorry I dop not agree that this is entirely my fault! YOU SHOULD check the print before you go for the caches....correct me if I am wrong but its your own fault for not checking, you could have checked and then re-printed them after pasting into MICROSOFT WORD Just aswell you couldnt find travelbug clink because I am in Germany at the moment in an Internet cafe.
