  4. I'm sorry to see those caches have been removed. I enjoyed Hanging Tree, found it to be very creative. I almost went for Day at the Beach after work today, but the chance of rain changed my mind.
  5. Make that 74 in 18 hours! They explain a lot in their logs. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=43481
  6. I got your info. Have a great trip. We look forward to seeing you in June. We can hardly wait to go diving! Alan
  7. We have lots of cemetery caches around here and I have enjoyed all of them. Alt Dot Air, if you don't like cemetery caches, then don't do them. It's your choice. Don't try to impose new rules on the rest of us.
  8. I like the webcam picture on the first post. Sounds like a great plan. I'd rather dive with someone that knows the sites than try to follow a free dive guide book! I'll be contacting you. Thanks, Alan
  9. I think we are to arrive on June 5th and will be staying in Kihei. We plan to do some scuba diving and will look for caches while checking out the sights. This is our first trip there.
  10. We will be going to Maui in June. I would like to stay a month too, but we will only be there for 8 days. I look forward to seeing your cache logs. Have fun! Alan

  13. I did wash the Poison Oak off my fingers, didn't I?
  14. quote:Originally posted by Ron Streeter:...who don't read the CVC forum. Ron Thanks Ron. Nice article. There are some facts there I never would have guessed, like the age! Many of the RCGDS people don't read forums, so I posted the link on the RCGDS mail list. Alan
  15. I'll be doing my Monterey class dives in March.
  16. I placed a cache in a side opening bird house. It was cheap and easy to build. This wasn't the plan I used, but it is simular. http://www.nabluebirdsociety.org/mtbox.htm Or you can do a google search on side opening bluebird nesting box for other plans.
  17. quote:Originally posted by georgeandmary:Does this sound too comercial to you? george I think I once found a virtual inside a commercial establishment. It was a quicky- mart south of Stockton. Had to go inside to see what the aliens liked to eat. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=16704 Didn't bother me any, and I wouldn't ask for it to be archived.
  18. Seven members of the RCGDS had a great time in Vacaville today. I never realized this was such an interesting town. I would like to thank the Team Moehrke family for spending the day with us today. You are great guides and hosts. I'm sure we couldn't have gotten 23 finds without you. Alan
  19. quote:Originally posted by dcline: I'm wondering what criteria others use...... David I have one. It's nothing special. The only criteria I use is: "I want to."

  22. quote:Originally posted by Ron Streeter:....pros and cons. Any more *positive* or *negative* thoughts about micros in our area? I have enjoyed each of the micros I've found in your area!
  23. My son and his friend joined me caching out in the rock piles near the lake today. Man.. is that a bunch of rocks??!!! Give the gps's to a couple of teenage boys and let them go. They found all six today. I didn't have a chance, but I did have a great time with them. This is a fun hobby to share with others. just rambling....
  24. quote:Originally posted by fizzymagic:It is only present in Members Only caches. It would be nice if the view audit page was available on all caches that a member places. Not just the member only caches. This would add to the value of the members subscription.
