  1. Thanks. That's just my story. Tom has his own and he's a bit sensitive to that. I've only experienced things that I think anyone else could experience if they were there with me to experience it. As for those experiences, I think my mom had invited several unproductive entities due to her private spiritual interests and one of them was curious in me. I rarely stay with my parents when I visit. I prefer hotels. They are in the same house and I haven't had any experiences in a long time, but I still don't stay there because I prefer the freedom and space of a hotel room. Did you find the EVPs okay? The best way to listen to them is in a quiet room with headphones. - HauntHunters did you tape your room? it was late last nite when i got to the thread, i will try for it again. i tried to find it. i will do so now!
  2. Original Poster (or Original Post depending on context) thanks
  3. Airmapper, Did you find a Lowrance data cable there...I can't. I want to get an aftermarket power/data cable combo. Z No, I need a Garmin cable. The Lowrance cables were $40 before shipping at LEI, and all I need is something to feed NMEA to a laptop, so I'm looking at a $20 Power/ Data combo cable for my Garmin 72. I wish they made aftermarket for Lowrance, they are expensive from the company. you might want to check these out, however they use serial cables http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-Interface-Cable-for...5QQcmdZViewItem
  4. i was looking at the GPSgeek ebay store and they have some decent prices. http://stores.ebay.com/GPSgeek_GPS-Neopren...idZ2QQpZ3QQtZkm
  5. are there any garmin neoprene cases or just any protective cases that will fit a lowrance iway 100m and an ifinder M&M? tia
  6. it seems my M&M needed an update, so, when i did, i was able to use the gilson antenna indoors, though, i had to stick the antenna toward the screen of my window. i will check to see if my iway 100m and my street pilot 2610 will also work indoors with the gilson antenna
  7. i will too, some mp3's and ogg vorbis as well, and i'll let you know how this turns out!
  8. thanks, the story was very interesting. i take it you and tom now search for ghosts! sorry to hear you had a rough marriage. do you still see these apprititions at your moms house when you visit? what was the history? who was that guy visiting you at night?
  9. HauntHunters, you must have some interesting recordings! please share some of them!
  10. thanks, i havent tried it out yet either, still playing around with the M&M map version. will you be checking out the mp3? too bad you have to use their adapter for the headphones.
  11. did you try the mp3 feature of the gps yet? do you have to put the music on a seperate sd card?
  12. i used the cheapest delivery, about $5.00. took maybe 4 days to get here, coast to coast!
  13. how was your gilson packed? mine was just wrapped in a bubble pack. i really dont get much improvement with the 25'. maybe i should've gotten the 9'. would unravelling the coil help"
  14. What kinda building were you in? My GPSr works inside, and REALLY WORKS GOOD INSIDE on the Gillson antenna when on it's mount. But my house is one story and all wood. i first tested the gilson at my mom's house(split level three story house, i was partially outside, because it was raining, i just stood by the doorway and sticking the antenna outside, then just now inside a 6 story apt. i live on the 5th floor. i attached the antenna on a coffee can and placed it by the edge touching the screen. still no reception. i however, did not unroll the cable. incidentally how was your antenna packed? mine was crudely packed in a bubblewrap! THey are for mounting the antenna permanently to a roof, etc. I threw them away. (On some Gillson's, you can remove the magnets, too - I read that here, somewhere. Not that I ever would, but I THINK any antenna that ships with screws has removable magnets.) with the screw holes arent you worried about water seeping in?
  15. ok, got my gilson 25' antenna monday, hooked it up to my M&M using an 1gb OCZ sd card. the map came out, it displayed the streets. however, the "?" icon continued to flash. i wasnt outside because it was raining, i was partially outside, the arrows did however, move which is a good sign. i have a question, what are those two screws for? there are two holes on the magnetic base, wont go all the way in w/o excessive force or w/o a screw driver. i have not screwd them in. should i?
  16. i was also concerned about the cable loss myself. but if i can get it to work inside my apt. while i set up waypoints, that would be great!
  17. i got the 20.00 model that fits both lowrance iway 100m, ifinder M&M, and my street pilot 2610. i got the 25' right angle model, with $5.00 shipping. hope this works, 25' maybe a bit much, but i figure i can set this indoors for my gps.
  18. i just ordered the gilson for $25.00 shipped. this supposed model can connect to my 2 lowrance as well as my street pilot 2610!
  19. i tried using a 2gb card, the icon just kept flashing. it seems a 1gb card is the maximum these lowrance will accept!
  20. i'm going to try and put some mp3 music on a different card reader to see if that will work, to fill the difference
  21. i am now creating a map on my mapcreate 6.3.2, i am using a 2gb kingston sd card. it is hooked into my lei card reader. i formatted the card, checked the property of the card. it reads 999999mb or something like that. not the 2gb on my card. which leads me to believe that the lei card reader will accept no more than a 1gb sd card.
  22. thanks all, just got back from a wedding in rochester, ny. i did initialize my M&M, and it did finally locate the satellites and my current location! the iway was a different story. i was not able to initialize, but i did remove the sd card and tried to locate the satellite w/o it. i cant recall if it did work or not, but when i replaced it with the same card and waited forever(about 20 min. it did work) so i believe that was the solution...thank you all for the help and support!
