  1. Although I have cached for years and hidden caches, I was asked by a newbie if she needed to hide a cache to play our game. I admit, I was stumped. I told her it was her prerogative on whether she hid a cache or not. The only 'rules' to play are have an account, if you find a cache, you must sign the log with your caching name to claim a find and return it as found, no moving it. Was I off base with this?

  2. It's a known fact that bears, for some reason, will chew on plastic. They don't need to have the smell of food to tweak their intrest. I've seen plastic gas gans and a plastic settling pond liner chewed on by a grizzly. Remeber not to smell like tupperware while your out there....

  3. Back on 8/23/2002 we placed a cache called BC 300 (More or Less) in response to the province growing to 300 caches. Today almost 9 months to the day, the 900th cache was placed. It's "Woodpecker" by Psycho (GCG51T)

    (British Columbia)

Tripled the amount of caches in 9 months.... way to go. And welcome to all the new cachers.

Since ice cream is my favorite food group I will of course have to find this place, cache or not. Can someone point me to this dreamy creamery? Can't be in the middle of Beacon Hill Park. Or can it?

I believe the place in question is located on the corner of Beacon and Douglas.

A very good soft ice cream that has been sold from this location for at least 35 years. Do check it out.

  6. I also enjoy four wheeling and a form of four wheeling is called 'rock crawling' I live in the province of British Columbia, so bcrockcrawler.

My wife loves crafts, and one is doing cross stitching, so xstitcher.

My son, who loves/hates geocaching, races a BMX bike, so BMXer.

Nothing to cute, but it works....

  7. How about some kind of raffle? The winner to get the Quilt and decide where the money goes to. (Charity I would suggest minus expenses like shipping, tickets etc.)

$5 to $10 per ticket x 152? squares, only open to those who signed and one ticket each?

$2 per ticket, open to all of the Canadian caching comunity and no limit on number of tickets? Limit of 10 tickets?

    Just throwing suggestions out there......

  11. Get her one of those new fangle military decontamination suits???? icon_rolleyes.gif

Seriously though, not sure what you can do to make sure she dosn't get them short of not taking her. (Yeah right, like that'll work, I see chewed furniture in your future) icon_biggrin.gif

Hey I just had a brain wave, (more likely a cramp but here goes) feed her some of that chili you gave us New years, I'm sure the ticks will stay off of her then. OF course the down side is the gas she'll probably produce..... icon_eek.gif
