I think the front would look neat if the red part had some texture to the metal, and transparent color. Kind of like the compass rose. I'm sure I'm not describing it right! LOL

Correct...the Texas coin was picked up by the cache owner...however, the Geocoin Fairy was emailed and gave her permission, and the cache owner replaced the Geocoin Fairy coin with a TN micro and an unactivated 2005 USA geocoin...maybe. The Geocoin Fairy is just resting on the way to your area 9key...it's only about 120 miles... If she gets closer to Dallas, I think 9key and I would be in a race! LOL

Yep, but the thing about it is they can charge as much as people will pay. Charge too much, nobody buys - nobody benefits. Find the right mix of price & demand, and you've got a good product. Although people are quite vocal about their opposition to this coin, I don't think the Loggerheads would continue to make them if they were losing money.

I think $1.50 per tracking number and $150 for an icon is enough of a fee.

I know they have been upgrading some of their sites. I'll bet if you try back in a day or so, they should be back up.

Geocaching.com makes money off the trackables.

Do commercial coins support Geocaching? I think the answer here is yes. If they mint 500 trackable coins with an icon, then $900 goes to geocaching. When I was on the GW4 committee several of the coin sellers lent their support to the event. So do I support them? Definately!
