  1. This is the email I was talking about: quote:Dear GPSMapMaster users, I have been informed by MultiMap that GPSMapMaster is in breech of copyright law. Multimap have also informed me that the program has been blocked by their servers. Please delete all maps and aerial images that you have downloaded. And please stop using Multimap immediately. Please read a message from multimap : "Write to all purchasers of your program and inform them that any use of your program that accesses Multimap is a copyright violation, and instruct them to stop using Multimap immediately, and to delete any maps or aerial images that they have downloaded." Thank you for your support, Rick Hewes. Rich (Founder member of GAGB) Can YOU handle the Donkey?
  2. quote:Originally posted by Overlander:sorry but that's just not true. how did you come to this conclusion? It was stated in the email I received from the program author, the email that requested people cease using the program for copyright reasons. If its not true then I apologise. Carry on using it at your own risk. Rich (Founder member of GAGB) Can YOU handle the Donkey?

  6. quote:Originally posted by Overlander:Incidently, I still have the installation package for this archived away if anyone wants to 'try' the latest version (v3.5a), it's 1.2MB. then just pop me a mail through my profile. Bearing in mind the above warning of course! ...bearing in mind that Multimap now blocks requests from this program. Rich mobilis in mobili Founder member of GAGB

  8. quote:Originally posted by Moss Trooper:Actually Tim and June earlier this year were at a very delicate stage of negotiations with Forestry Enterprises the ones who control FC. This was at a time when we were discussing whether food stuff should be placed in caches.. the man from FE was watching the forum when some started saying they would put in caches what they liked.. Hence.. we are back to square one.. Luckily they, FE, have not put a blanket ban on caches.. YET.. but they dont condone them either. For information to newer members of the forum, information on the history of this is in this thread, though I suggest we don't re-ignite this one. Rich mobilis in mobili
  9. quote:Originally posted by Icenians:I notice they have changed their claim back to a single voice from the voice of it's members as it was the other day when I looked. My apologies - thats an error on my part. I changed the page to take on board comments made in this forum but it looks like the old index page is still kicking around an linkable to, which makes it look like it has been changed back again. I'll sort it out this evening. Glad to see you're actively looking at the pages [Edited - no - thats not the problem after all. I'll look into it and still sort it out this evening] Rich mobilis in mobili [This message was edited by el10t on June 03, 2003 at 05:20 AM.]
  10. Claire (my wife) is Cornish. She says Emmets are definitley tourists to Cornwall. Grockels are tourists to Devon, Somerset etc. They are very protective over their names for tourists, these West country citizens . Rich mobilis in mobili
  11. I think you terminated it too quickly Om. When I played it it said: "Hello.........Hello-oo....Hello. This is Omally, Dutch Courage and Krazy Katz. And we're bloody wet! Cheers! (background laughter...) Rich mobilis in mobili
  12. Thanks Northumbrian. Yes the idea of the association is still around and hasn't been totally diguarded though it has to be said that it lost some momentum given the passionate discussions that took place recently. The website is being updated to reflect everyone's helpful suggestions and things will progress if everyone who signed up wants it. Rich mobilis in mobili
  13. quote:Originally posted by The Northumbrian:...after all, no one on this forum can change these guidlenes... Sounds like we could do with some sort of association to talk to GC.com about this sort of thing for us. Rich mobilis in mobili
