Fledermaus....utterly lame.

There are parts of the 401 that have 4 lanes in the collectors and 4 in the express totalling 8 each direction, for a total of 16 lanes.

Ditto for me -
Do you leave something special for the FTF?
Cedar Grove Seekers replied to DarkZen's topic in General geocaching topics
I like this story - it nicely demonstrates the friendly competition between FTF hounds. Back when I was a hound, I noticed that it was typically other FTF hounds who provided FTF prizes in their caches. Those who didn't seem to care about FTFs were less likely to provide a prize. It makes sense. -
I just had to google it (so I can't answer). I may have eventually guessed the tempertaure and the date (thousand monkeys...), but I have never even heard of the place. Maybe it's just me.

An FTF can't be reserved, it has to be earned. It's your job to either earn it, or make someone earn it themselves. What are you waiting for - get going.

Personally I wouldn't mind if you didn't mention that a boat was needed. If I didn't figure it out on my own beforehand, then I'd either find a way to get to it, or come back another day. Sometimes a twist is fun, and too much information can detract from the challenge.

I'd log as a find.

Anyone here found this one?

....and some of the Founds are false (OK, let's not start that again) -
If you're prepared to maintain 20 caches, and don't mind that many cachers will avoid a series of 20 micros, then it sounds good. However I'd suggest that, considering you have an earth/wind/fire/sky theme, why not just do four caches (one for each component of your theme) and then your final locked ammo can as a fifth.

Is HamsterCaching making a comeback?

I think you mean hamsteritarian-ness. -
I recognize repechage from watching the Olympics, so will guess "rowing".

Passing of Fellow Geocachers... How to Honor?

A memorial geocoin was also created. -
I got 27, but might be wrong. I'd love to see your list.

Do we count water? That's a good question - I'd say answer with or without counting water, but just let us know which method you used. When I was counting myself, I didn't include water, but certainly counted islands.

How many of the 50 states in the USA are entirely or partially north of parts of Canada. In other words, how many states have their most northerly point further north of Canada's most southerly point?

Nice beaches?

Oooo, ok I will take you up on that! Ask the Twin: "Would your twin tell me that YOU are telling the truth" Honest = no Dishonest (and ugly mind you) = yes I look forward to your next riddle! Well, if this was your one question you still wouldn't know which path to take. Wouldn't you want to ask something like "If I asked your twin if this path was the safe one (pointing to a path), what would she say? No = safe one, Yes = dangerous one.

How do you thwart "cheaters"?
Cedar Grove Seekers replied to Tequila's topic in General geocaching topics
I don't blame you...I hate maraschino cherries...I think they might be carcinogenic too. -
You don't? And there isn't? I thought Ontario was just one of the far northern states. OK, I'll leave the Canada forums now. Actually, the bulk of the population of Ontario lives further south than you. In fact, the northernmost cache I've ever found (in Sudbury, about a five hour drive due north of my house), is still south of where you live. Imagine that!

You're absolutely right. The maze has been generally a US-based exhibit and we should have considered Ontario like we do Washington and New York and included the city in the announcement. We'll make sure to do that in future announcements. I'm not sure it makes sense to add United States to the other locations but I look to folks outside the US to let me know if that is necessary. Most people know California and New York but some of the more obscure US states may need country clarification, especially if the maze goes more global. This actually doesn't look bad... 2009 Exhibit Schedule: Winter: Rochester, New York, United States Spring: Seattle, Washington, United States Summer: Davenport, Iowa, United States Fall: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada As someone outside the US I don't think adding 'United States' is necessary - it just adds clutter. Adding 'Canada' shouldn't be necessary, but it probably is, so would say leave it in. Per the OP, the City is very necessary.

Any chance it was hidden on top of a log? ..or possibly the log was on top?
