thank you everybody who has replied so far - I promise to reply to each and every one of you next Sunday evening GMT (not Monday as I put in the OP - got my dates muddled). Where some of you are successful on multiple coin bids, I shall of course combine postage.
thanks again everybody

We are no longer caching very much anymore because of the new house, and with it (the house) seeming to be a money-pit I have decided to sell my coin collection. Those that I am not selling have either been drilled, or travelled. Please email me with sensible offers (in UK pounds please) and I shall reply to all offers on Monday 16th March, after 6pm (GMT). Payment will need to be by Paypal. Postage to the UK is £1. I will work out the additional cost to other countries. I shall transfer ownership immediately upon receipt of payment on the activated coins. Where I have listed mulitple numbers of coins, I am selling them individually.
Any questions feel free to contact me.
Email address for this sale is redfrocks_coins@hotmail.co.uk. Our caching name is andys101 & redfrock

We are the proud owners of one! Seems the ECG has been visiting the Kent Coast! A beautiful coin that will be treasured
-
I'll be wanting a couple as well. The V2 were some of my favourite coins in a long time, so I am going to put this thread on 'track' and hope I get to order a couple
-
I don't currently plan on doing a race for the upcoming year so if someone else wants to do the next Premier Geocoin Race, please let me know.
What kind of interest is there for a PGR II?
I would definately be interested in entering - particularly as my coin got pinched so early on in this race
In the meantime thanks res2100 for all the hard work you put into this - it is far more than I could have done
-
Why not get another Palm for eBay? They are so reliable (I know yours has died) and the batteries last for days between recharges. You would be able to use all your existing software and settings.
thats what I thought I would do, but I know so little! There is a sony Clie on there. Would that work?
-
Finally I have a week off, the new house is half straight and I want to go caching ..... but my Palm has died. What should I replace it with? Its likely to be an ebay job and I have no more than £50 - in the meantime, back to good old fashioned print outs.

hmmm think it might be time we showed our faces at one of these and this one isn't toooooo far away (only about 80 miles or so!). Is the day after Andy's birthday, so will have to see what state he is in .....

We've lost 5 - in just over 18 months. One was in a muggled cache, the others simply vanished into the ether. Unfortunately this includes 3 coins, one of which never got further than its first cache. When I emailed the person who had retrieved it I received a very impolite email back. He knows he's got it, I know he's got it, so it would be nice if he set it free - particulalry as i have never even seen it - it was released it the States for me by the person who made it, to travel around before eventually coming here. Mine have all been drilled with their missions attached, but alas it does not seem to prevent them vanishing. It annoys me greatly but I shall still release things but probably just TBs now - with nothing of value attached - simply because I still get a thrill seeing where they are going to.
-
ours has arrived and has to travel to 'Swadlincote' (my geography education is expanding) - sounds exotic but is actually only 190 miles away! Will drop locally this weekend.
-
Well - at least yours all have exciting goals, with distances to travel .... Mine only needs to go 190 miles up the road! Am tempted to drive it there myself
How on earth did I end up with one for so close to home (although I had never heard og the place myself, and had to google it) when all of you have got exotic far-flung locations!

Caching has been on hold for a month or so for us because we have been selling our house and are in the process of moving, but we shall be back to full blown caching from the beginning of October. We are more than happy to release in the South East of England (we live near the Cathedral city of Canterbury in Kent). We have previousy released a coin for the Blind Acorn and are pleased to say it is still travelling
Just a quick update to advise that the house move has finally happened, we are back on-line again after several months without and as of this last weekend we were able to start caching again! If anybody has emailed me in the previous couple of months asking me to release coins for them and not had a reply, I can only apologise - it will have been because we had no internet (we had to move in with my parents inbetween house sales ) We are more than happy to start releasing coins again. We still live in the same area - nice and close to the coast. feel free to email me if I can help!

I can release one in the UK (England) for you. We successfully released the Blind Acorn's Compass Rose geocoin. We are moving house this weekend but after that will be able to go caching again
-
Out of 11 released I have lost 3. One was a TB in a muggled cache, one was my first ever geocoin and stolen from a cache (had managed only 69 miles) and the third was a coin that was released for me in the States and was picked up by a cacher from the first cache it was placed in, and who apparently now can't find it. It has travelled 0 miles. And I think I am angriest about this one because of the carelessness and the attitude of the email when I finally got a reply.
-
please count us in - its a great idea

after a polite nudge my coin is back in a cache and ready to start clocking up miles again
-
I have a coin that was released into a cache. A cacher then picked it up and that is the last time it saw the light of day. It has the grand total of 0 miles and after a couple of polite emails, asking for it to be set travelling again, I got a very terse email saying he couldn't find it.
So now I have a stolen coin, a lost coin and a muggled TB, and do you know what, I think I feel worst about the lost coin because of the way the situation was handled and the carelessness involved. All my coins are drilled and have their mission attached. I'm not so sure about releasing any more
-
Updated...one of the coins moved to spot #10.
That'll be mine then! After ages of not going anywhere it has suddenly made 2 big leaps. Will probably get a puncture now though!
-
I can't recommend any caches in Devon as we have never cached there, but perhaps you could rescue our "Short Way Round" TB which has been stuck in a TB Hotel since 2nd April!
It needs to move towards Cornwall. Any help you can give would be much appreciated!
I wil make a note of it and do our best! We are hoping to wander into Cornwall anyway.

This is an ace series,The underworld series and not to be missed.
If you want some company doing them mail me as would not mind doing them again!
Thank you - that is so kind - not sure if I am brave enough to do that series yet. But hooking up with a fellow cacher is always fun so by all means join us
All the others sound good too, and GUK has brought up some little gems. Just one more day to go!

Its time to go on holiday again, this time to Devon. We shall be hitching up on Friday and with our trusty caching equipment packed, heading off to spend 2 weeks in Paignton.
So once again we need you views on which caches really shouldn't be missed. We won't be limiting ourselves to Paignton, so anywhere within about an hour or so by car will be fine, (possibly even 2).
We had planned another holiday in October but with the stress, strain and time consuming business of moving house (which will probably be around then) we won't be able to fit another holiday in, so we want to make this one an especially good one.
cache adoption thannet

Thank you LMN for posting this for me , and to Gooner for getting in touch with LMN . We will sort out the adoption for you. I am so glad that this one will not need to be permanently archived. We are very fond of this cache and it has proven very popular. We are no longer quite so local and both work even further away now, and for various reasons caching has taken a back seat. Thanks again
