Wow, lot of great ideas for coins. I came across a little tutorial on the internet that shows you how to make your own homemade pogs, which are kind of similar to wooden nickles.
http://newbiedm.com/2008/11/22/newbiedm-tutorial-counters-tokens-or-pogs/
I made try my hand at making them like this and then putting them out there
That is basically how I do mine but I use avery labels, spray acrylic ,use modge podge and spray acrylic once again to protect them from nature.

Today I received the "tulp" with the number I asked for

I also temped the power of the Federal government. I placed the coins I got a MWGB in the mailbox, so far my door have not be broken down. Here is the picture.
Got to go, I hear someone at the front door.
How much did the mystery coins go for?

Congrats ATMouse! You know who owns the VW Van

The mold may be used by a local event also. When did the top 40 coin come out?
-
How about 53 since I'll be there next year and someone took 52?
-
Moulds and/or dies are kept for 3 years from its last minting.
However, on the design above I forsee a copyright issue. Also, 45s were the model for an oakcoins project in 2008... can't remember to group project name for the life of me though.
are you thinking of the "geocaching the top 40" coins?
ILYKYes, the top 40 coin, that is if I can take care of the copyright issue. It shouldn't be much of a problem since I don't sell coins and I only need to do something with 100 tracking numbers.

How long are molds kept and would this design work?

3 gifts
2 donations
and a special coin adoption!

I have some new home made GWIX and other nickels to trade if anyone is interested

Here is one donation of coins I received for Cacheapalooza 6

Was a 2011 Lackey Geocoin released @ GW IX?
I was told there will not be a 2011 version. Has anyone seen the new Volunteer coin?
I have a 2011 German Groundspeak Volunteer coin. Is that what you are asking about?
Does the 2011 look as nice as this one?
-
Gorgeous. What a beautiful keepsake.
They may be available somewhere. There seemed to be many left as they cost $75.00

Here are some coins I got at GWIX. Some may be old, some may be unreleased, but most were new at the event. What did anyone else get?
-
Very cool. Is there a story about these frames?
The coin on the left is a volunteer coin. The one in the middle is black cherry. The one on the right is the regular event coin.

Mine arrived this past weekend. Thanks Greenish!

Coinfusion!
Nice coin! Your turn

I will give it away so someone else can post something. The collaboration is Moun10bike, Team Fisure, Indy Diver and DHobby1. Hope that helps.

Here's some coins I received from friends sent me this week...
Love the Manatee with the duck ring! Can you tell me more about it?
It was a donation to a local event (along with the hummer). All I know is that it is called "Manatee". The event is in Florida so everyone will want it. Thanks Liz!

The TB# is on the left side of the coin page. It is not the tracking number.
