  1. So do I need to open the cartridge first? I have downloaded several, and I get an error message. If I change the file ending would that make it open?

    When I try opening the emulator I get the following error message:

    See the end of this message for details on invoking

    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

    application or computer (machine.config) must have the

    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

    The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  2. I'm trying to open a Wherigo cartridge in the emulator as I have no other way of playing, but I'm also getting nowhere with this :( With the Wherigo builder I'm getting an error message, and with the Urwigo builder I'm getting nowhere either. I've tried the fix posted for the official builder, which also isn't working. Can someone help me figure it out, as there are a few Wherigos in about a 50 mile radius, and I'd like to have a go at them.

  3. I never bother with swag from a cache as it's so rare I find anything I'd actually want. I did find a bluetooth headset in one recently, but I a) didn't need it, and B) had nothing to trade for, so left it for someone who could swap it for something else useful and who needed it. The one exception I make to swag is when I find a Guide or Scout badge in a cache, as I'm a Guider so these are something personal for me, and go on my camp blanket.

  4. I've only once logged a cache as found when it was missing, and only then as I'd logged a DNF, the CO had gone to check on it and had seen it was missing so was going to archive it, but said that if I sent in the co-ords (it was a puzzle cache) he'd let me log it as found. I didn't ask to log it, it was the CO that contacted me to give me permission. I was a newbie cacher at the time, and it was my nearest cache to home (still is).

    I have a cache near me on my watch list. It's a D4, probably should be a D5, and has a whole string of DNFs by experienced cachers. I get the notifications through for it, and had to laugh recently when a newbie put a needs archived log on it. The CO posted a maintenance log by confirming it was still there.
