  3. Now everyone should be able to pick out the needed phrase to feed Google.
  4. I am not sure why a man would be eating a cougar, but I might want to see it.
  5. My comment was more about comparing your "Area closed" with the "Trail Closed" here in GA National Forest. Here it was in an area where off trail hiking is permitted. It was just a little sign tacked to a tree which only said "Trail Closed". It didn't give a reason or potential fine. So would it be ok, to go on the trail, or parallel the trail, or should people avoid the entire area, and if so how big is the area to avoid?
  6. Ah, but I would consider "Area Closed" to be different from "Trail Closed". Also I noticed that sign did give the fine amount and reason for closure. Which is good.
  7. I have been in a National Forest area where off trail hiking is allowed, and came across a trail closed sign. It didn't say why, and the only obvious problem was that in the past few months a storm had dropped a bunch of trees across the trail. At the time I wondered if it would be ok for me to continue on the trail, or should I parallel it off "trail", or should I avoid the area completely. So I think it would be better if a trail closed sign indicated any fine, and preferably why it was closed.
  8. Just dug a little deeper and found that the work firewall is blocking access to photobucket.com. I will check it at home. Sorry about that.
  9. It also looks like the text "there is no precedent for placing caches" was emphasized.
  10. I always have a spare logbook with me. Right now I have a couple of full spare geocaches. One regular and one micro. And on topic I say "no" to Cache Expiry.
  11. Funny the description specifically says
  12. I am sure I can live with it now, since my found count is only in the three digits. And of course if it gets "too large" I can change the email account associated with my user id to a gmail one. So it is just a request to allow the entry of another email account.
  13. Right now it goes to the email that is associated to your geocaching.com account. I might add this as a text box at the bottom, but for now.. just check your geocaching.com email address. Yes, please consider adding a text box which if filled out the PQ would be sent to it. Currently I have all my PQ's routed to a big gmail mailbox. The email associated to my GC user is the small mailbox supplied by my ISP.
  14. On "all my finds" PQ I don't see a way to control which email it goes to.
  15. But then sales of GC.com lanyards would plummet. Which would be good for Groundspeak since shirts cost more than lanyards.
  16. I second the motion for a shirt with a pocket. Pre geocaching I use to hike with pocketless t-shirt. Since geocaching I always go with shirt with a pocket so I can put my GPS in it.
  17. While the TOU indicates permission could be given in this message Elias says . Now he does admit that it goes on, but will be blocked if detected.
  18. I would expect to use the same method to tell I got everything in a circular query. That is if the rectangular query returns 500 geocaches, I probably didn't get them all.
  19. So I guess that limits the scraping to only those scrapers that can handle cookies. and aren't afraid of getting their account banned.
  20. Once I hiked 8 miles (round trip) to find one geocache.
