I've received a few questions and comments, please see the answers below. I don't have very many geocoins in my collection but I'd still like to participate in the missions. I'm worried someone will be unhappy with the coins I have available to mail out. Can I still participate? - Absolutely. I'm sure there are other people in the same situation. When you email me with your information, be sure to let me know. I'll make a special list of those like you and match you up together. I only have one or two geocoins in my collection that I can mail out. I don't have the funds to purchase more. Can I still participate? - Sure, just let me know in your email. Can children who participate be assigned to other children? - That's a great idea. I've had some emails from individuals who's children are taking on Secret Geocoin Santa missions. I'll make up a special spreadsheet with them and match them up amongst each other. When you send out your emails please be sure to let me know these are children and their ages. There are also some individuals who's pets are taking on Secret Geocoin Santa missions. If I get enough response, I'll create a special spreadsheet just for pets too. It's a tad bit early, last year's Secret Mission started December 12th, but I know some folks are eager to get this year's Secret Geocoin Santa Mission started, so let the fun begin! I had so much fun being a participant last year and doing research afterwards to find out who my secret person was, lol. fox-and-the-hound made my Christmas so special by sending a really nice letter and some coins with great meaning behind them. 2007 really started out in a positive light because of them. What do I need to do to become a Secret Geocoin Santa? - you must be willing to send 3 geocoins to one participant. - you must be a registered user in these forums with some history of postings. - Secret Santa packages must be mailed no later than December 7th. I know December 7th may seem early, but I have a surprise up my sleeve and in order to make it happen all of the gifts must be mailed out by December 7th. Details about this will be included in the email you receive with your missions. - feel free to be a Secret Geocoin Santa to as many individuals as you'd like. How do I become a participant? - Email the following information to SecretGeocoinSanta@yahoo.com: Geocaching Name Real Name Address Are you willing to mail outside your country? Do you have a seeking list? If so, where. If not, are there any coins you'd like to own? Hobbies, children, anything else you think your Secret Santa should know. - Feel free to go the distance to make this a memorable experience for your secret person. Cards or personalized letters are very nice to receive. Small gifts for their kids or themselves is really special too. - Please do not ask me to assign you a certain individual, the missions will be assigned at random. Important dates: - I will be distributing missions on 3 seperate occasions. When you send me your information, I will send a brief email reply letting you know I received your request. You will not receive your secret mission until a later date. This is a toss up for me. My all time favorite coins are the Washington '04 & Washington '05 geocoins. I love to stare back and forth between the two. The next in line is Jeeptoysrus's night & day geocoins. Great coins!

The Great Geopumpkin recently was in Idaho! I was traveling home from a weekend of visiting my brother in Twin Falls & stopped to do a couple of caches. One of the caches is one that I had been meaning to do for awhile but just kept putting it off. Imagine my surprise when I opened the cache & discovered a Great Geo-Pumpkin coin sitting inside the ziplock bag the logbook was in. It definately made it worth braving the cold windy weather. What would the "fist" imply? Awhile back someone sent me an email and called me Dorkfist accidently. It was hilarious! After that it just sortof stuck so I decided to make a mint error coin with it on there. I thought it was funny

Ok this is a funny thread. What's even funnier is the people now emailing me and calling me Borkfish. You guys are just too silly What's even funnier than that is I've had an error coin in the works for a few months now. Landsharkz and I have been going back and forth with the mint for awhile now trying to get the colors just right. The die is finished, we're just waiting for samples now.
