What a great solution. Duh! Thanks for all your imput, everyone!
BTW: We emailed the cache owner and told him of its condition. And he said he would check it out. Who knows?
Next time we'll be a little more prepared. Trading out the contents and/or taking a picture to send to the owner seems much more proactive to enhancing this wonderful sport!

How much do you really need to leave to have it be "worth" more than "a non-lighting pen light, a melted candle, a couple of really goofy (and obviously well used) rubber balls, a pack of gum with no contents, a set of personal headphones (god-only-knows, who's ears they've been plugged into), an open pack of tissues?"

We visited a cache today with an amazing amount of crap in it. What is the protocol for "filtering" out someone elses cache? For an example: a non-lighting pen light, a melted candle, a couple of really goofy (and obviously well used) rubber balls, a pack of gum with no contents, a set of personal headphones (god-only-knows, who's ears they've been plugged into), an open pack of tissues, and a lot more, etc.! What would the seasoned Geocacher do????

Very interesting idea. Red's are more adventurous, for sure! I bought the GPS for Shylock but I've been by his side every moment. I'm the true hiker in the family. Shylock is the computer nerd. I REALLY needed away to get him off his *** and on the trail with ME!

As a little side study, how many of you have red hair? Seems to to me to be a higher percentage of redheads caching.
Map Of Tbs Travels?

There used to be an option on the TB page to "See a map of this bug's travels" but I can't find it anymore. Has the option been removed? If so, it's a real shame. That's one of the best things about tracking TBs, IMHO.
