  1. Report it to Groundspeak. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=request B.
  2. Don't be fooled by armchair loggers, with their fake "finds". B.
  3. Still waiting to receive this week's newsletter. B.
  4. Not seeing anything wrong at all. When I use your link to look at the list of "my" logs, which is where your link takes me, the date shown is the date the log was posted. B.
  5. Yes, the "heart" icon denotes a favorite. Help Center → Apps → Geocaching® app 1.1. Geocaching® app: Premium vs. Basic membership features chart http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=764 Clearly says that Premium Members can: How you do that, I don't know. Help Center → Premium membership → Benefits 1.9. Favorite points http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=287 minus the 3 favorite points you've already awarded. (I think you should have 17 points remaining.) Barbara
  6. Help Center → Apps → Geocaching® app 1.5. Log trackables http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=767 1.1. Geocaching® app: Premium vs. Basic membership features chart http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=764 Says PM's can Logging: Add photos Add favorite points And for all members: Trackables: Search for trackables Log trackables View trackable inventory Instructions how to do any of these seem to be rather sparse. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=12 B.
  7. The OP's profile says "Premium Member", so pq's and bookmark lists are options. https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=2786932 http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=5 B.
  8. A year without any action from a Reviewer is obviously not right. Help Center → Hide a cache → Submit your cache listing 5.10. Cache review process http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=81 If you had properly submitted the listing for review, you would have received an email from Groundspeak. Help Center → Hide a cache → Submit your cache listing 5.1. Submit a cache listing http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=77 You would also see the listing in your profile page under "Your Geocaches Awaiting Publication". Help Center → Hide a cache → Submit your cache listing 5.13. Unpublished geocaches may be archived http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=460 B.
  9. Log an "owner maintenance" log, explaining that you have checked and the cache is where it is supposed to be. B.
  10. A short, b&w text with their logo? Sure, I would do it. But, then again, I'm one of those few who actually read the whole cache page. Edit: LOL, I was posting at the same time as narcissa. I would definitely let the relevant local police know about the night cache as well. Can't hurt to give them a heads-up. Let them know that the cachers would be showing the permit. (I'm lousy at "night caches", too. Those firetacks are small!) b.
  11. Heritage Hide’n’Seek GeoTour https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/hhs B.
  12. Oh, wait, I see your log for https://coord.info/GC5AWZZ Since you've got the container, you can do with it what you want. Re-use it, or throw it out. If you want to name a new cache the same thing, then go ahead. It makes no difference, as there are tons and tons of caches with the same name. It's the GC code that is distinctive to the individual cache listing. The Reviewer will get to your "needs archived" log and deal with the situation. The CO should have just archived it himself in the first place, instead of erroneously posting a "temporarily disable" log. B.
  13. If it's this one: https://coord.info/GC1RQ4A just sit back and wait. It might very well be archived soon. The Reviewer has posted the "temporarily disabled" log. He will be checking back on it, giving the CO time to do something. If the land owner doesn't want a cache there, then there's no point in placing another one there, right? You would need to provide explicit permission from the land owner. The CO looks like they haven't been active in quite a while. Just a matter of time before all their hides get disabled/archived. As a courtesy to the land owner, you could go back and retrieve the garbage container. B.
  14. The "women only" event idea was against the Guidelines back then, too. Only through divine intervention was the idea allowed to stand. B.
  15. Before proceeding to hide a cache, read the Guidelines over and over again. Guidelines https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx Check out the Hide a Cache tutorial, including taking the quiz: https://www.geocaching.com/play/hide And check out the Help Center section about hiding caches: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=19 B.
  16. It's easy to find out if the cache is archived or not. If you logged it as "found", it will be in the list of your found caches with a red strikeout through it. What's the GC code? Or at least the name or coordinates. B.
  17. The most important log was the one saying that Jeremy and GS wholeheartedly approved and encouraged the event, including providing raffle prizes. Another log provides the link to the thread on the forum: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=91385 B.
  18. When GS did a makeover of the Help Center recently, they changed article titles, etc. This is the article that was originally titled "Owner Maintenance Emails", with some additional info. GS sending "owner maintenance emails" started in 2015: Release Notes - September 8, 2015 http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=334834 Click the link to the Help Center article in that Release Note and be taken to the exact same Help Center page as cited in the OP. So the name may be new, but the practice has been in play for a while now. There's some forum threads about it already. B.
  19. It makes sense that your smileys disappear from the map when the cache is archived, because the cache is removed from the map. I went to your profile, and started going back in time. It took a lot of clicking to get back to February of 2013, but your finds from that time are still listed there, with red strikeouts to denote the archived caches. The "my finds" query should have included all your finds, even if the caches are archived. Help Center → Premium Membership → Pocket Queries → My Finds Pocket Query 2.2. My Finds Pocket Query http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=117 I would try running the "my finds" pq again, and if they caches still don't appear, contact GS and report a possible bug. B.
  20. The newsletter goes out weekly, usually Mondays or Tuesdays. Are you still thinking that there should be new souvenirs released each month? B.
  21. Speaking in the third-person? Go to your original post, click on the "report" button, and ask a moderator to close the thread. B.
  22. You don't "publish" a cache. You place a cache, and then submit it for review. Earthcaches are different than other caches. The review process is different. You might want to carefully go over the Guidelines: https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx And read all the information provided in the Help Center: Hide a cache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=19 EarthCaches: http://www.geosociety.org/GSA/Education_Careers/Field_Experiences/EarthCache/GSA/fieldexp/EarthCache/start.aspx How do I create an EarthCache? EarthCache guidelines http://www.geosociety.org/GSA/Education_Careers/Field_Experiences/EarthCache/GSA/fieldexp/EarthCache/guidelines/home.aspx B.
  23. How many DNF's and / or NM logs had been posted prior to the NA? Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Finding a Geocache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=434 B. Did my question get an answer? B.
  24. How many DNF's and / or NM logs had been posted prior to the NA? Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Finding a Geocache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=434 B.
  25. Why hasn't anyone posted a NM by now? Some finders with incredibly high number of finds have been logging this without any qualms, or logging of the appropriate NM logs. Logged as "found it" with mention of the problem doesn't help anyone. Posting Needs Maintenance lets others know there is a problem. Is there actually a final container with a log book? B.
