I believe that there are many people out there who choose not to log their finds for whatever reason. I think that is their option as long as they are playing by the rules of the game otherwise. An alternative answer to at least some of missing logs might be answered by the existence of other sites where caches are maintained. See here for an exampleNavicache I have seen that most of the ones listed around my area from this sight are also listed on the Geocaching.com site, so I have not joined in there. (I can't keep up with the ones from Geocaching.com already . I never get lost! I simply investigate alternate destinations!

Before September 11 I had taken a flight aboard Southwest. There were no problems getting on with it. The in flight magazine indicated that a GPSr was allowed in flight, but not during takeoff and landing. I had fun using it and logged a couple of interesting waypoints along the way. As far as these post 9/11 days, I am not sure if they have changed their rules for use. I never get lost! I simply investigate alternate destinations!

I think that this is a great idea! I like the idea of the medallions too. Not sure what levels they should be at. Definitely 100. What about 50? Do we want different ones for different levels (i.e. colors on higher level ones). I am sure that some people may want something like this even when not achieving a certain level. But I do like the idea of special ones available only to people that have achieved a certain count. I would definitely pay for one in either case. Louis
