to honk is to live.
In other words...
"I honk, therefore I am."
(To paraphrase a gentleman who consistently put Descartes before d'horse.)

I think a road trip to Austin for Necropolis is in order...Hey... I'm looking for suggestions for the big 20K coming up soon. I'm considering GCAB , but, as I said, I'm up for suggestions...
That's funny! I was thinking the exact same thing!

Guinea Pigs -- Or as the locals call them, cuys. This is a favorite dish in Peru.
Before entering this home, we were asked to be careful to not step on the food.

Moved this query over from the Cache Critters thread...
Here's what I don't get ... how come posted images don't getyou into trouble with our local Geocaching babes? Could it be
that I'm doing something wrong? ... no way.
I suspect that the reason I don't get into trouble is that I post pictures of anonymous critters instead pictures of our local Geocaching babes. But today, while I was out caching, I saw something that inspired me to try an experiment. I'll post a picture to see if I get into trouble.
P.S. Honk if you know the cross street...
Anonymous critters y' say? How do you suppose
those anonymous critters feel about that?
Honk if you know where this is...
Las Vegas? (At least that is where I saw a Harmon Ave last summer.)

Point Loma Flooded
As seen from this Google Earth image, parts of Point Loma were flooded today. The cause of the flood is not known, however the recent placement of a series of caches named Catalina Creeps is suspected to be related. This series was placed by a cacher named "FlagMan". Persons with knowledge of FlagMan's whereabouts are requested to contact the authorities immediately.

By now you must have seen all five types of camels
during your world travels. If so then hat's off to
an unusual achievement. If not then get'er done!
I had never actually thought about it, but indeed, I have seen all five. Of the five, bactrian camels seem to be the hardest to see...
Good chance here to fill everybody in on what thevocalization of a Vicuña sounds like.
Are you referring to "orgling"? If so, perhaps this is best left as an exercise for the reader.

Vicuñas
These were in Peru.
These were in Ecuador at an altitude of about 14,000 ft. This was on the way up Chimbarazo enroute to a geocache at 15,800 feet above sea level. Highest altitude for the day was 16,004 feet.

I get it ... pass or fall.
Will I have to climb up tall, wobbly thingies ... fast?Sailed and crewed aboard a three-masted Gallant out of Yorktown,Virginia. When I say "crewed" ... they let me pull on one of them
rope thingies that hoisted the mainsail.
Now that you are an expert, you should come sail with us on the Californian. We have plenty of them rope thingies and we need people to pull on them...
You have to pass a test before they let you climb tall wobbly thingies.
Falling would be failing. Plus you gotta buy beer for everyone else on the crew.

Honk if you know where this is...
Hint: The front door appears to have been stolen from FlagMan's Used Car Lot.

A couple of critters from the vicinity of the Carson's Crossing cache.
Ducks on Penasquitos Creek.
A velvet ant (which is really a wingless wasp - Dasymutilla occidentalis).

Hi all! My son and I just started geocaching last week, and I thought I'd introduce us in this thread.
It looks like SD has a pretty active geocaching community. My son, being 9, REALLY loves the caches with swag. Any recommendations? We live up in Rancho Penesquitos, where the 15 and the 56 intersect.
Thanks all!
Hammerfel
Welcome to the game!
For caches with swag, look for Small, Regular and Large sizes of caches. There are quite a few in this area (I live near Mercy Road). Penasquitos Canyon and Miramar Hill are good places to start. There are also quite a few just across the freeway in Poway, too.
