  1. I always ask when on private property and work with the DNR on others. Yet I have no problem with permission being implied on public lands as long as the lands are there for actual public use. What I mean by that is there are several public lands around where I live but they are nature preserves and not intended for the PUBLIC to be on. While other public land is clearly marked for public uses and Hunting and Fishing is allowed. If they going to let people roam around on the land with guns I look at it that they are also allowing people with a GPS unit.
  2. Legally speaking couldn't each cache be considered littering? (Not trying to cause any trouble, just wondering about these questions in a legal sense) Not if you got permission for the cache in the 1st place.
  3. I am the owner of my trackables. I paid for the item and letting others be able to log that that have seen my item when they come across it. At no time are my trackables are abandoned or given away to others. At any point I can list on the trackables web page that I would like it returned and will pay for the S/H to the next person who finds it. While there is not license agreement to follow the coin I see it no different than any other software you have installed on your computer. You are allowed the use of that software on your computer but you do not own it. Same thing applies to the trackables. Others can view and move my trackables but they do not have the right to sell, make copies, deface, or alter it anyway. I think it is a matter of intent for the most part. I set my trackables free to do what trackables are to do and that is be tracked from one cache to another. I at no time put a travel bug or geocoin in a cache and said hope you get a good price on ebay. Hula Bum I’m the owner it is mine until I pass that on. The only time I would consider trackable to be abandoned if the owner no longer has an account on GC.com or a period of time such as 180 days since last activity on GC.com and no response to emails or post made on their pages.
  4. If you can't get ahold of the owner toss it into your next cache. If the owner wants it back or something they will change the TB page to state that. Welcome to Geocaching.
  5. He does. Good. I've been worried. It's been so long.

  7. I’ve been putting them in a hard case that is glued shut. You can not open it. Also there are tags inside that tell the person not to keep it and that it is trackable on GC.com NSLP is the cacher who showed these to me.

  18. The area I’m in is quite devoid of coins so I would like to get more coins in the caches around here. This is what I offer. For the 1st ten people that sign up I will give them 1 PCFrog geocoin. What I’m looking for: Send me any two trackable coins that are already activated so can drop them in caches around my area. This will hopefully get at least 20 coins in circulation in the area I live. If you like to check out the area on GC.com you can use zip code 54656. Please post your interest to do this here and I will email you later tonight.
