What's it take to change your avatar? He says, hoping that this second posting after changing his avatar will have some effect, and not really needing a response.

Ok now, everybody calm down. I'll be there right after work, but if you're looking for Ron, sorry to disappoint. I think it was the week's worth of stubble I had that day. I'll have to wear some geek badge or walk around looking lost so others will recognize me as a Geocacher (not a celluloid star). Unfortunately "She Who Knows The Truth" will not be there, so you'll have to take my word for it.

I guess I know where I'll be eating dinner. I'll try to hog some extra room. Never been there, so I hope it's good!

I believe that for most animated icons and embedded sound files all you have to do is click the browser's stop button. I tried that with Markwell's and with another and it stopped the sounds.

Aaah, I thought you meant next week. How about XV next week, then to The Fright by 7-7:30? I have to check the threads again, but if some people are meeting with Kyle (THPRD) I will probably do that so I can get the Creekside-replacement placed out there.

I suggest Maya's... Right off the Max line and right near the Top Score cache
I'm down for whatever everyone wants to do prior to The Fright, but I have a suggestion. How about meeting at XV (15 SW 2nd Ave), then we're only 2-3 blocks away from Hobo's? Also just off the MAX.

So Bodoni's thinking, "That sounds like a jolly old time." And he looks for more information on the Rogue site and finds the following:
October 11-12-13: MicroBrew Fest at Rogue Ales Brewery in Newport, Oregon. The Newport Microbrew Festival, once known as the "Rock, Rhythm and Brews" Festival, is scheduled for Columbus Day Weekend at Rogue's Brewery.

Gee. I wait a while because I don't know what to say to a post like that, and everybody uses up all the good stuff. So I think you should just go back and read all the other posts again and pretend I said 'em. Thanks for including me in such illustrious company . . . and boy am I looking forward to the next 12 months!

Hey now, in my defense The TJ! had moved the rock. So even though my GPS was saying 0.00' I couldn't see the cache because I was standing on it! I thought it was in a tree for sure.

I was waiting for some return phone calls, but I think I've waited long enough.
I also found a car adapter for a Nokia cell phone nearby.
Now, do I develop the film and see if there are people or caches I recognize? I think so. I hope everyone's fully-clothed!

Don't know about the tix -- we got ours weeks ago. This place better have A/C I agree about the social thing. Nothing wrong with that!

The 24th will work for me, but that will reduce my count to just one. Tomorrow will not work though. I'm taking my Sis and Bro-in-law to see Frogz. If some of you meet at Absolutely again you might want to call the Hollywood Bowl and see if they have A/C. It's only a couple of blocks away and right at the Hollywood MAX stop. I hope you have fun! I'd like to bowl again . . . in a COOLER place!

Sometimes I slip and let common sense prevail. I realized that two new caches that close together weren't necessary, so I placed the second one somewhere else. Sorry for the false alarm.

I just received a nice mail from THPRD Guy about my Creekside Cache. He looked for it, but was probably the first to find that it's been plundered. Lost a full camera too They were concerned that the cache was too close to a steep bank and in an area frequented by homeless folks, so if it was still there he wanted to assist me in finding a better place for it. In short, here's a quote from his mail that sums it up, "I would like to continue to work with you and other Geocachers to continue this fun activity in District parks. We feel it is a wonderful opportunity for people to 'discover' parks which may otherwise go unnoticed." Sounds good to me!

goin' to Seattle
in Northwest

I was up that way for a 4-day class and learned to ask this question:
Where in the Seattle area will you be?
I was in Kirkland and had a mini Seth!-fest. I did a bunch of Seth!'s caches, along with a few from others, but I never strayed from the Kirkland/Bellevue/Redmond area. If I had to cross over to the Seattle side of town I never would've gotten anything done.
So if you're going to be on the east side, Seth!'s got a nice variety of caches. If you even got part of Mission: Impossible done you'd have fun, although no find. That cache can take weeks to get done. Hope that helps in some way . . .
