Well, now... that explains my detour on my way home. I thought it was just road work! I live very near there. I'll take a walk a little later this afternoon and report back. I was actually going to hunt that cache today or tomorrow anyway.
Are you a travel nurse? Just being nosey as that is how I came to San Diego.......3 years ago and havent left.............yet.

Makes me wish I lived near Cent..
I have to agree.....

im simpilly pointing out that certain regulations/laws/opinions like many in this country are based on misundertanding and disinformation, so why is there not a petition to protect this hobby just like there was to enable bikes to ride double file (just passed 3 months ago here in colorado) i mean seriously???
Since you refuse to listen to what has been posted I suggest you first find some caches then you can start the petition. As I stated there is a lot going on. You just have not been around enough to see it.
Relax, go find some caches. Attend the next 2 event caches THEN we can talk about what is and what is not being done.
Until then you are uninformed and just stirring the pot about things you know nothing about.
Thank you for your reply. Geocaching is great and we need to be careful on how we approach it so we can keep on caching.

This cache, "Indiana Ed's Subterranean Cache," was number 1000.
What a cool, cool cache. Check out my pictures. The little bat was sooooo cute. I just wanted to pick him up and take him home.
Very cool!!!!!!! Onward and upward........you go girl.

Thanks for the info. I've been wanting to check that cache out for a while.
same here. it is the last SCCC on my list.
It is my last one also......but I will have to wait until I get back from all my trips....I want to have a complete set of SCCC's

The SDGCC is meeting for dinner at Oggis Pizza and Brewery at the North County Fair mall @ 1830 tomorow (Wednesday). It is on the backside of the mall facing the parking lot....all are welcome...If you are not into coins you can be into the beer.
too bad I am not into the coins or beer.
How about the pizza?
pizza is something I like.
Rogue has class tomorrow night so it is my wander night. I guess I could come up after work but I would be late cause of traffic. Any good night caches for afterwords?
There's one in the mall. There is also another in the parking lot of the mall. J&J have a new one near the mall but I can't say where because it's a puzzle cache. There are a bunch over in Kit Carson park adjacent to the mall.
Any cliffs to fall off of or rocks to trip over?

ok, I am a little behind in uploading pictures.
does anyone need a good deal on a truck?
wonder what the final outcome of this was......stolen? insurance fraud? dead people? We had BRA with us so that would be reasonable.

Any one want to car pool for the Dec 16th event that lives in East County? We could meet at the Lake Jennings park and ride or something closer to 67 and go from there.

Okay . . .
NO wonder he got lost

Here is a Google Earth view of the hike up to Double Peak (GC140) from Discovery Lake.
In this view I colored the trail up in blue and then I colored a possible trial down in yellow. If we take this trial from the top we can hit the remaining caches that are near this mountain on the way back down.
We could leave a vehicle somewhere down by Lake San Marcos to shuttle us back to Discovery Lake. I'll try to find out where the best spot would be....
WOW looks grand.......sure wish I could come with you all.......oh well!!!! I wish you all well

Uh . . . Not to change the subject, or anything . . .
But, I wonder who will retrieve the UDesignit Card . . .
Its location.
So if we organized a cache event expedition to get this card, can we pick the next dozen candidates?
i'll be cheering you on m

Congratulations to all of you that scored Snail Rock Cache. I'll share a little secret with you now that you've done it, I knew you could and would do it easily. However, the problem is that you've made the accomplishment seem ordinary whereas once it was notable.
Lord knows I've tried my best to teach you the fine art of cowboy exaggeration but no, not all caught on. I beseech you to punch-up your log-entry prose to build up the legend of Snail Rock.
Many thanks to all of you that have enjoyed the Sandy Creek Cowboy caches of late. Due to the driving distance and to the uncalled-for high gasoline prices those caches have been mighty lonely. Please know that your many log entries are greatly appreciated. We put some time and effort into those hides and it's nice to know that you enjoyed them. What's really special is that many of you enjoyed them together.

I'm seriously thinking about doing Double Peak for my 1K. I think I'd like to do a cache that has a view for my 1K! Caches with views are the main reason I got into caching in the first place. Also I think this cache is the oldest active cache in San Diego so that makes this cache a special find as well! So if anyone wants to come along Saturday let me know! The more the merrier!
I dunno, after Thing Valley wiped me out on it's 50' elevation climb... I'd like to try though!
You've got all week to train for it!!!!!

How many caches did you end up bagging yesterday?

32!! WOW!!!
No wonder you surged ahead of me in that quest to 1000.
I think I can catch up to you, do you want to do number 1000 as a "team?"
I guess I surged ahead but I've been doing this for 3 years so I'm a turtle compared to most!
We can do that if you like but I can't cache until next Saturday......
By the way, that was very nice of you to be our guide through such a beautiful area!
Warmer...warmer....colder ...colder...
When was the warmer part?? Alls I knew was the colder colder colder.......frozen!!!!! Going to MTRP as soon as I down load my PDA as it is WARM
