    Well....I am going to be in town the 30-2nd of January and I would like to smack around Puzzle Canyon (I.e. Rancho San Diego) and clean out the Adelos ones.

     

    I've all of his solved to date, and I would ever so enjoy some company to point and laugh at me.  Any thoughts?

    Sign me up TT! I don't have any of those far away ones solved so that would work for me! :laughing: But seriously, I'll take at look at them over the next couple of weeks and try to solve as many as I can! :P

    Any one want to get together and do the Christmas Card Lane cache. gc2bb4. Team Reid said it was easy to get these caches to highlight.....but I am going to have to have instruction .............again.........anyway I can go Weds or Thurs night, so just let me know if you all want to meet somewhere and tackle this as a group.

    I should be available either night. I will still try to go out tonight but will start with the other lights I want to see so I may not make it that far. Either way, I am always happy to go again. :D

    Lets see who wants to go and when. If I havent heard from anyone else it will be tomorrow night :laughing: Am trying to get my 300 which of course I will by the end of this weekend but one more to get closer is always better :laughing:

    It might make sense to meet somewhere like the 56&15 Park&Ride to reduce the number of cars going over there! :D

    I would think after dinner maybe around 7.....what's everyone else think?

    7 pm is good for me. Gives me time to get the rest of my shopping done.......the rules are.....if things are postmarked by Christmas it is all good!!!!

    OK, now for a roll call! Who is planning on meeting us at 7PM tomorrow at the 56&15 P&R to head over to do the Christmas Card Lane cache: GC2BB4? So far we have: Smiling Lady, Duganrm, Team Reid and myself.....

     

    I just want to make sure that we don't leave anyone behind! :huh:

    Exactly where is the park N ride? I looked at the PNR map and there are several right in that area.

    Anyone interested in some tunnel and drain exploration? 

     

    From PassingWind and DJollyMon's most recent offerings, its looking like the SD crowd likes tunnels, or at least tolerates 'em.  I've looked into the SD Urban Exploring group but so far its lacking.  There are lotsa underground spaces to explore and even spots for some new cache placements.

     

    Who's in? (email might be best if this is too OT)

    I live in Lakeside 92040 area,    My daughter  &  I would like to get started geocaching. She is nine I think she would have a blast .    I have a Magellan sportrak PRO,    I can turn it on that is about it,  & find my way back .  Is there anyone in my area that would be willing to Help show me hands on how all this works?????? here is my email

    Just hang in there and eventually someone who has a Magellan will read this thread.......I am finally getting to the point that I dont have to pray to the Garmin and GSAK gods before I do anything with my stuff.

    Keep an eye on the San Diego event thread as we go out and do all kinds of puzzles. the next big type thing will be new Years weekend so stay tuned.

    Christmas Card Lane was pretty cool, but we must be the only ones who hadn't already done it.  :blink:

    What night you thinkin of going?

    I can't say, we aren't good at planning things for ourselves... So far we hoped on going last Sat, Sun, and Mon night.... we still haven't made it yet so we are hoping tonight... Do you have a night you would like to go?

     

    I like Christmas Light displays even without caches. My plan is to go to that cache and then Clairemont, Rancho San Diego, and finally El Cajon to see the different displays (maybe even stop by Point Loma). If anyone knows any other good displays, I am always willing to add to my list. I am also willing to go back if others want someone to go with them to see the lights.

    Weds or Thurs is best for me.

    The word for drive is fahrt. All over Germany you'd see signs "Einfahrt," which are the oneway signs. Einfahrt, einfahrt, einfahrt. ;):lol:

    What happened to our perfectly good conversation about fahrts? :P

    So look, whenever you want to use the fahrt word on the Forum just post "PW." We'll all understand as in "PW= PhartWord." Gosh knows he wont mind 'cause he's actually bottling the stuff.

    I spent some time on that one and got nowhere, so I moved on

    Whaa!? Moved on?!?! That wasn't in TG's book! Maybe I'd better read YOUR book! :unsure:

    Did you get the Teachers edition to either puzzle book??? Please share when you do. I look at the clues (in preparation for New Years weekend) and my brain gets about no where. sigh........ :lol::mad:

    I am up for another trip or 2 down Puzzle Canyon to get the new ones and the ones I missed. The way things look now, I will probably have all those days off of work.

    Uhhhh, I'm one of those who cringes at puzzles - if I tag along, will I have to log each cache with a note? :unsure:

    Glad someone else cringes at the thought of Puzzles. I am going to try one near me as I am told it is easy.....we will see........I tried one in Hawaii and did not get it but I did not give it more than 5 hours thought......not all at one time of course.

    I have yet to locate the 'official" puzzle book that Trailgators has written about sadism or something like that :lol:

    Guess I am just going to have to start staying in town .......that will be my new years resolution!!!!! Stay in town get more geocaching....HA..........

    Nope......Arizona........the cold part of the state.......Hawaii I was happy with, nice, warm......beautiful water......good food.......fun caches.......no complaints.....Arizona I am going to be a little cold finding those caches but I am going with some good people so it makes up for the weather......I am just cache greedy trying to catch up to 1000 and knowing at my slow pace it could take a century!!!! :mad:

    I have to recommend you start with the McGinty ones . . . after climbing that peak, you might decide to spend the rest of the day looking for some drive-up 1/1 parking lot micros . . . :lol:

     

    The Old Highway 80 ones might have to wait for a different day . . .

    For Dec 31st .....if there is another spot people would rather cache that would be fine. I am just looking to do the old 80 and McGinty........and about the other million caches I have not found!!!!! :)
