  4. I am currently doing a puzzle cache where you find separate parts of a QR code (puzzle) and must scan it. How would I accomplish this other than cutting out.
  5. This is one of the GPSrs that you have to prompt it that you've moved over hundereds of miles since the last time you used it. You do this by going to the satelite page and select NEW LOCATION and then either select AUTO or USE MAP. If you've lost the directions you can download a copy at http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/eTrexLegend_OwnersManual.pdf I'll second that. Even with some of the newer models ie gpsmap 60C this has to be done. From map works better for me
  6. I'll second that. I thought the name was familier and they both found my remote cache together. Best to contact glenferns- I know they reply
  7. Contact your local geocaching store for a wholesale price
  8. I mainly geocache by myself but with family we use same. I do know of some people with individual accounts though
  9. Just saying, I usually get forced not to use it When caching overseas I use my Geomate as that loads the whole country's caches. If I am caching around home I will look it up on the android but then we'd usually use the Garmin 60C
  10. Give them each a pat on the back, and a big "attaboy". If their name is listed on the cache page, they got credit. If it's really important, you can link to their profiles in the description. Most people will probably not even look at the profile page of the hider, except to contact them. Sorry to break the news to you but I do
  11. I beg to differ, I believe these other maps are good when zoomed in, this is in Suburbia Sydney- observe the tracks and details that aren't on the google map This is just one example of a cache near home: Leaflet And here is Google Maps Google Map
  12. But I have multiple friends- Fair comment but Joint ownership would be better
  13. If you look, all my caches are like that- also many people do not get credit for awesome caches
  14. If you look, all my caches are like that- also many people do not get credit for awesome caches
  15. Often I place caches with Friends- it would be great if we could both own the cache (make changes and have owners properties) Hope we can and I know others who would like it
  16. I use chrome and BarDeCo Or redlaser should work for iphone
  17. Or if you are doing a multi I use C:GEO to find WP1 and then Colombus for the rest
  18. Thanks for pointing this out. From the cache page: The cache is NOT at the co-ordinates given. Those co-ordinates are part of the data that you will need to calculate it's position. I have raised the difficulty to 3 based on seeker feedback. The cache only contains the log. Please bring your own writing implement. Somewhere along the way in high school you may remember learning that a circle can be described by any three points and your long suffering mathematics teacher would have shown you a method of locating the centre of that circle. This cache was inspired by a conversation I overheard amongst my mathematics colleagues in the corner of the staffroom I share with them. If I am right that is a circumcentre. Now any ideas?
  19. A local puzzle cache requires me to find the middle of three sets of coordinates. How would I do this?
  20. I wouldn't take a photo of a cache if it was bad Here's a cache that I was FTF on- One of those push down and rotate pill containers with label half scratched off under a agapantha Cache has been replaced- probably with a mint tin as all their other caches are them. Lookout for the Chilli's
  21. Etrex 10 now that geomate have pulled the update facility
  22. To answer the first question correctly to get a marquee you go <marquee> WHATEVER YOU WANT </marquee>
  23. If you do a forum search you will see countless topics on this. The reviewer is a cacher who has a strong community relationship and volunteers.
