  1. Just had an idea where a hider gets 1 favourite point for every 20 favourites on his/her caches. This would be particularly good for people who are running out of favourites.
  2. You won't be able to get Google eStyle Maps for free but you could use shonky maps or OSM for Topo Maps for free. More Australians who might be able to help out live on forum.geocaching.com.au
  3. It really depends how technical you are. Magellan GC is simple and although I don't use it, my caching companion, Slaytornator does. He is very untechnical and finds it to be great. I am personally more technical and prefer Garmin's as they are slightly more powerful IMHO I'd suggest the GC if only for caching therefore
  4. It's a combination of both but I've never found a hard final to puzzle
  5. Quite sure you can't do wireless. If you can however please let me know as I have a galaxy tab
  6. Quite sure you can't do wireless. If you can however please let me know as I have a galaxy tab
  7. Does the nexus7 have USB capabilities? Is so put it into the mass storage unit mode and get a cord to connect them and transfer details across. Garmin's wireless feature thing only works Garmin to Garmin
  8. Hi What GPS do you use? It differs for each device. From there I can help you (assuming I know the brand/model)
  9. Mirrors help. I bring (assuming that the description suggests nothing else) GPS 2 phones (HTC Sensation) Samsung Galaxy Tab (occasionally) Pen Trackables Clipboard (sometimes) Paper Batteries. Multitool (most times but not all) Some bring disguises such as fluro vests
  10. A phone with my local network of PAFs and TAFs
  11. Find a cache nearby to Belmore (I was thinking Canterbury). Click on the hiders name and click send message once on their profile. Sadly I live in northern sydney otherwise I'd help you
  12. I can release one in Sydney, Australia if you'd like
  13. Hmm I'm not in the area but contact something of the local hiders
  14. That's similar to me. There is a great hider who lives 3km from me. While on transit at an Airport in Singapore I found one of his signature plates, we had only picked up another one just before leaving. I also found a cache accidently that wasn't listed while on a walking tour...
  15. Not as much as others do. That may be since I haven't found that many to warrant a milestone cache.
  16. How can you read paperless on such a small screen?
  17. This feature request was brought up with the old uservoice system. As with most Australians I'd agree that we need souvenirs for Australia. As Groundspeak already have the code in place all they need is some artwork (supplied in the attached thread) and a simple if "user" hasfoundcache.NewSouthWales then display artworkNewSouthWales Statement They already have "state detection" in place so that should be easy to get. I personally would like to have souvenirs for South Africa (as we cached in a few states whilst there... and made an effort to!). I have souvenirs for Nevada and California... and that's it (other than the leap day)
  18. Thanks, would it be alright if I put containers with codes in them, that aren't geocaches
  19. Hi all Am very new to this and just wanted to know something. Can I integrate geocaches with my Wherigo, eg. put codes inside my geocaches and create them as zones and tasks where the player enters the code and progresses? Thanks
  20. But should we just have it... handy for doing a PQ
  21. It'd be great to load final coordinates for: Wherigo (if the "puzzle" is in a different place) Traditional (if the coordinates are out) And other cache types
