Happens all the time with all kinds of stuff, like everything else, it's up to the buyer to do their research and find the best price. This isn't specific to coins, my new SLR camera is on ebay for $200 more than what I paid for it elsewhere. I wouldn't have been mad at the person selling it if I had been foolish enough to buy it without shopping around, just at myself.
How do you figure they were commercial from the start? Moun10bike never sold his coin, never auctioned it off, it was a kind gesture, a gift to a fellow cacher, how are coins like his commercial?
BOT-Just what ebay needed, yet another category.....
I agree and agree. While having a "motorhome" attribute would be great in theory, I wouldn't trust most people to tell me if I got get my 27 footer turned around let alone a big rig. Heck, I've seen people driving their own motorhomes that greatly misjudged how much room they needed, so it scary to think what someone that doesn't drive them would think.
How about just more individual bookmarks that let people know? Not a great solution, but if I see 3 or 4 bookmarks on 1 cache that all say the same thing I'll believe it.
You gotta remember PGH a lot of people these days are just cranking coins out, so your timeline is going to seem slow to some. Hopefully nobody will decide that means an opportunity to jump on it to get in first.
Glad to hear you're going through all the proper channels to represent the org. right.
With all the angst I thought it would be interesting and fun to see who has made coins that are only available via cache. By this I mean that they have never been sold or traded, the only to find one of these babies is by walking up to a cache and wrapping your fingers around that precious piece of metal.
I really hope these get done as non-trackables, it would be such a wonderful special sig item. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would trade a coin for this (even a trackable one!). Keep us posted.
