  1. That is one of the regular editions, although there weren't that many of those made either. The polished two tone is the LE, XLE, whatever you want to call it, then there was the one of a kind that went for charity.
  2. I don't go to the other forum at all, but to me this seems like a very appropriate place to have this discussion. As someone who has put on several events and plans to do more in the future I would like to know the issues going on so that I can avoid them in the future. I'm sure there are others who can learn from it as well. Please keep us informed here as it affects future events that many of us will have.
  3. XLE K9 Auction I have listed one of the ten XLE two tones to help out Team Donutdog in this sad time. Please see the link to the thread below for more info. Team Donutdog's Thread
  4. K9 V4 Auction Alright, here we go. I've listed a V4 K9 coin in the two tone. Only 10 were made in this metal. Our thoughts are with you, give the pup a hug for us.
  5. What was the wording that got the two auctions pulled? I'm getting ready to list and don't want the same issues. Was charity in the wording somewhere?
  6. OK, I was trying to stay out of this, but my bitchy self just couldn't take it. First, congrats on selling all of your coins, it's a feat these days. With that said.... I cannot believe how many people came in here and talked about this sale being "good, with just a few minor glitches, a little frustrating, but over all went well "and so on. These were the same people in the coinsandpins.com sale of the FSM coin ripping them a new one for the SAME problems. If you're gonna bash one vendor for these issues you sure as heck better be bashing the other vendors when it happens to them. (For the record I don't think either should be bashed, crap happens, life goes on, hopefully they become aware of the issues and can get them fixed.) It just really irritates the crap out of me that ya'll can be so hypocritical. We all have our favorite vendors, but this is a showing to your character, and not a good one in my opinion. Maybe you were just really heated up after the C&P sale and calmed down by the time it happened again, that's understandable, but seems to me an apology is merited. Yes, they are friends of mine, but I wouldn't come in and bash even the vendors I don't care for the way some of you did. Time to take a look and compare your posts... Maybe if you have that much disdain for a group or person, just stay out of that thread all together, cuz the contrast from there to here is nothing less than shocking.
  7. Hmm then, I dunno! Bronze and gold antique look pretty much the same to me, so I guess I'm of no help! I knew I saw gold somewhere, thanks chief!
  8. Personally I think that the bidding should be cancelled now until it's sorted out, as right now it's just driving up the price. If it all works out and he/she is legit, then they can always bid again. As for the metals, I believe C&P had them listed as Antique Silver and Antique Gold, I think people are just calling it bronze cuz that's what it looks like sorta.
  9. Can u (the owner of a coin) report someone if they virtually log your coin?
  10. Virtual logging is not ok, mistake or not. Are we talking about the code or the coin that was "given" to them?
  11. Second chance is for the price you put in that you were willing to pay originally, not the bid that it finished at, so you're not covering anything but the amount you said you'd pay. It just stinks that someone is messing with these at all.
  12. So Eartha, when are you making your coin? Look at all you have to look forward to!
  13. I'm not getting it at all, it was said all along that it was a possibility, in fact there was even discussion about same metal vs. different for a re-mint, it's no secret that it was a possibility. Read the whole thread would be a good start.
  14. Or people could just not pay a high price for the coin on ebay then it won't matter what happens next..... Nobody is forcing anyone to bid crazy amounts for any coin (that I'm aware of anyways).
  15. Exactly, when did getting the coin become so ridiculously important? When did it become a right to get every coin that comes up for sale? What's happened?
  16. And it is possible that some lucky new person got them and will use them for trade because they have nothing else to trade until this purchase.
  17. they're on there right now, just went to order my bronze geocache america coin.
  18. Ditto that. Report them immediately, this is not ok. As for the auction, as long as you say in your auction that it is a pre-sale you can list it. Here is the pre-sale info. Pre-sale listings are those that describe items for sale that are not in the control or possession of the seller at the time of the listing. These listings generally consist of items that are sold in advance of a delivery date to the public. eBay permits Pre-sale listings only on a limited basis. The seller must guarantee that the item will be available for shipping within 30 days from the date of purchase (i.e., the day the listing ends or the date the item is purchased from a store front listing). The seller must also clearly indicate within the listing the fact that the item is a pre-sale item with a delivery date that indicates the item will be shipped by the 30th day from the end date of the listing. Additionally, this text must be no less than the default font size of the eBay Sell-Your-Item form. Currently, the default font size is HTML font size 3. Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including: * Listing cancellation * Limits on account privileges * Account suspension * Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings * Loss of PowerSeller status Right the listing up correctly within the regs and re-list it and most importantly report the abusers.
  19. Can you post a picture? There are several coins with flags on them and different sites for their activations.
  20. Do we actually know that people bought a bunch and this is what happened to all of them? Yes, obviously there were a few who got a sizable order in, but it also looks like there were a lot that got 2-4 of each metal (which seems like a reasonable size order to have for trading). I don't know, so this is an actual question. It would be nice to know if it sold out in 5 orders or 50 though.
  21. Nothin' wrong with getting extras for trading. It used to be this was half the fun it the old days. anxiously awaiting, only to miss it and then have to track down some lucky soul who got extras for just that purpose. I really only see a problem if you bought a whole bunch with the intention of ebaying them for $50 BIN's.
  22. People just prefer that you wait until you actually have the coin in hand before listing that's all. That's where most of the issue lies. I also noticed you're using the original picture which is not the same as the finished coin (as stated in the thread), thus kinda mis-representing what you're selling. Congrats on being one of the lucky ones to get one.
  23. It's not that someone is "grabbing" it out per se, it's that someone actually completed the transaction and thus reduced the total amount in inventory. Online inventory does not work the same as walking through a real store. I do agree with the specified period of time part though, that would help a lot.
