  1. 131 log entries for TGF. 119 to go? This would be good
  2. I have done all my trading through the post office. .63 cents for up to 2 ounces. I have had a report of one torn envelope. I make a holder out of thin tag board (cardboard) for the coin and put it in a regular small envelope. I may be cheap, but it works. - for small amounts.
  3. Tim! Do not look into the light! The light shining off the shiny new GEOCOINS! "Run away, run away" "We want a shrubbery." "I fart in your general direction!" Sorry. Too many Monty Python movies.
  4. 2007 Hong Kong! $9.50 each! GAA
  5. "That's not mine." "You don't own a swedish made ***** pump?" "That's not my thing, baby." "This is not your warranty, filled out by 'Austin Powers', for a swedish made ***** pump?"... That's not my thing, baby. Really..... I don't have a problem.... Rats! No coins in the mail today.... Really.....
  6. A year ago, I had to have every coin coming out. Drool. Drool. Then I realized I had a problem. GAA Geocoin Addicts Anonymous Now I'm better..... Really. I am. Much better..... Was that a pumpkin coin coming out?
  7. Been watching the caches with the Fairy Geocoins. One has been found this morning. GCK34N Log entry below: [o:]O.K. I decided last night to replace the Stairway to Marraco bag... to weatherize it. So this morning while I was making potatoe farls I logged on to see if there was anything going on... oh and yes, to actually log my 100th cach that I did about a month ago...so back to geocaching... hmmm, there was a fairy at my cache... so I turned off the stove, left the uncooked farls covered and leashed the hounds... well this is San Diego, no unleashed hounds here... and trotted off to my little cache with a new bag and high hopes of finding a little something. As I rounded the last turn to the baying of the neighbors hounds I checked to see if anyone had made it to the cache before me. The coast... or stairway... was clear... it was a little late and there are plenty of dedicated cachers who would actually get up at the crack of dawn to get loot... so I still had doubts of success.... hmmmmmm looks like I need to replace the altoids tin... looking a little rusty... couldn't get it opened... lucky for me I ate before breakfast... it's a Hobbit thing... so I did have the strength to pry the tin open and find... Cool! Yes I made it, but how did the fairy squeeze that in? hmmmm? Anyhow, got back home, cooked the farls ate two and now have the strength to log the entry! Thanks for the visit! One more to go!
  8. Got mine. Beautiful coins
  9. Here is the cache with the coin in it: GCJ2YX Now to watch the fun!
  10. TGF spotted in SoCal! I went for this one cache after work that I had been meaning to get and there was a Fairy coin! Whooo Hoooo! Put in one of my activated personal coins (hey, how did I know I would need an unactivated coin for the trade? ) and TGF actually had signed the log - "9/19/06 TGF". Kind of a quick entry, but Fairies are sometimes in a hurry. So I came home and logged the find. No entry from TGF! Guess I beat them to the entry. Then an email comes in. TGF visit. Says they just logged the find. Then another e-mail. Another TGF coin in one of my caches! Well, I got one... Nah, I'll leave it and enjoy the show. Thanks for getting around down here. Hope the strong winds today did not bother you too much.
  11. And we left Alaska and Hawaii out on purpose - not out of spite - just to keep it simple. I got my idea from this thread. I just saw the problem of those tiny little states not working out too well, but that the time zones were a way to keep it down to fewer pieces. And have you tried to read the numbers on the Texas Mini black nickel? Rhode Island would be teensy.
  12. Here is the link I sent Christian: http://geography.about.com/library/misc/ntimezones.htm Parts of Oregon are in the mountain zone. Other states are cut in half. Arizona does not change at all. Indiana is... wierd.
  13. I submitted this idea to Oakcoins on 9/06/06. I did not want to do this myself, but liked the idea enough to share with Christian (Oakcoins made my personal coins). I never received any response till 30 minutes ago when he told me to post this in this thread. <snip from e-mail on 9/06/06> "Time enough for caching" "Caching through the zones" "Zone caching" "Are you caching in my zone?" "Caching up with time?" </snip> These were the ideas I had come up with for the coins to say. Christian told me to take the credit (which is all I asked for) and ... I get freebies! Watch for more info here on the forums
  14. There was a "contact" button. Just ask?
  15. The thief could just come back later or just give the combo to a friend. Getting closer to an idea!
  16. Ordered 2 gold inlay - $50 each versus $74.95 for equivalent gold inlay coin from the Alaska Mint.
  17. English version here - geocachingshop.com
  18. I searched on "WOG" and came up with www.geocachingcoins.de which apparently has Version 3 out now.
