  1. e-mailed for two brassy gold
  2. I haven't seen much speculation on who it might be. Just the typical 'must be an airline pilot', or my thought, works for a company that requires a lot of flights. Er..I mean, I DO BELIEVE! I must, for I did get a coin, and it is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. What number did I get? 42? or was it 49? According to the Hitchhiker I have #100 myself
  3. 2 Jan and the Percy boys (gold and BN) October Geocoin and pin club stuff 48 center and czech coin (trades)

    Oak Coins

Christian (Oakcoins) did my coin (on left <--) and is doing the Caching Zone coins (elsewhere in these forums). I'm very happy with his work and will use him on my next coin - same die, different metal.
  5. Okay. We are back to the 4 coin set. Much nicer design anyway. And I'm not making this coin. Oakcoins is making the coin. This is just my idea and I was trying to get some input. And let's leave Indiana alone. Things may be changing or have changed, but this is how it has been for a while.
  6. With my vote included: 5th coin - 0 4 coins - 3
  7. Or the fifth coin could be an LE coin. Yeah that's the ticket!
  8. I am not exactly crazy about it either. Maybe the fifth coin could be sold separately? That way, you could get the fifth coin only if you really want it. Or get the five coin set and trade the fifth coin/ drop it in a cache?
  9. E-mailed for coins. Any V1 available? Fellow APRS user
  10. I had not thought about the confusion the state outlines could cause on the back. So leave the back alone. Okay....... Now a design for a fifth coin?
  11. 1. The front stays the same. 2. Add AK and HI outlines on the back. No extra words or symbols. If you don't like the back - don't look at it.
  12. Since the state outlines are still there. And the time zone is on the piece. And most people know (except for AZ and IL )what time zones are. Most people will figure it out. Maybe the person who puts this one coin out in a cache would have in the log something about the other 3 pieces of this puzzle. Each coin is loggable by itself anyway, right?
  13. San Diego Padres? A game called baseball? A (0-2) Padres team And why is this the funniest thread? The "why is (insert your favorite place, name, diaper brand here) always left out?" part? And this from someone from California too. And we will slip off the map eventually too!
  14. So...... Any more input? Or is it done?
  15. There are separate state coins available to fit into a map of the U.S.: CH Quality Coins Texas sells for only $2.95 while New Jersey sells for only $1.85. Non trackable coins. Only five coins available now. Only one coin becoming available a month. 4 years for all the coins to become available at that rate. Apparently you get each state you have cached in and drop it into the map.
  16. This is just a discussion of the design. Someone else (Oakcoins) will make the coin - eventually. I think we have something that should keep (just) about everyone happ(ier)y. Off topic - I am home "ill" recovering. Nothing serious... Probably going back (sigh) to work tomorrow.
  17. Trying to keep cost down and keep the design clean. 4 coins only please.
  18. Back on topic (sorry) I think just the outline of the two states on the back (front )would work. The color of the outline could show the other time zones (clocks in the same color). No names. No zones named. Reformat the lettering around the outlines. Simple. And if anyone else wants to start up the other time zones of the world to complement this design or take off with their own design - go for it.
  19. Aw man...now I need to go talk to my pastor...he has me convinced I live in paradise due to my ability to walk on water more than half the year . I doubt "The Man" himself would advocate leaving paradise off the coin, so now the seeds of doubt have been sown . Is that including the sub-zero temperatures in the winter or the "skeeters" in the summer?
