That was great trafcon! As a G.P.S. user and a W.I.F.E. I can only love that. It defiently gave me a little pick me up..lol

    Thanks!

    And I guess that's why I own the G.P.S. and my hubby doesn't! icon_wink.gif

  2. ...when you forget your flashlight you contemplate driving your little japanese non 4x4 four door vehicle into the brush to shine the headlights in 'that spot! It's just gotta be there!'

...when you ask your kids (ages 4 and 6) 'Hey kids, wanna go to a new park today?' and they reply, 'Aww mom, not ANOTHER geocache!'

...when you start receiving gifts of ammo cans and rechargable batteries! icon_wink.gif

  3. I am also a stay at home mom with two kids. It's great fun to hear my four year old son say, "Mommy, can I look at the GPS to see how close we are to the cache?" and when I've gone on a walk with a girlfriend he'll say, "Did you find the cache?" icon_smile.gif Going to the park has a completely different meaning for my kids! icon_wink.gif

I'd be happy to help in any way that I can. (I'm on the west side of Portland..)

    Enjoy!

I guess I definitely deviate from the average geocacher!

    I am:

    Married

    Caucasian Female

    30 years old

    2 children

    Stay home with the kids

And I couldn't get my hubby to geocache to save his life! icon_wink.gif

  7. While I definitely would fall under the "haven't been around as long as most of the people posting to these forums" category, I'd be more than happy to get a cache or two if you're interested. My email is BAnnHoltz. icon_smile.gif

  9. While out geocaching yesterday, I happened upon a witness post that says:"Contact the District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers". After a bit of digging, I was unable to locate the mark. I did however take a picture and mark it. Any idea how I can find out more about this? I went to their website, yet had no luck.

    Thanks!

  10. I also have two FRS radios to contribute to the cause!

I've been lurking here for a while - looking forward to meeting you all!!

  11. After having hunted this cache yesterday, I think you should take the skateboard back to the cul-de-sac and leave it at the trailhead.

When I was there, there were several kids riding skateboards and bikes. My bet is that there is a very unhappy kid and some equally unhappy parents now that that skateboard is missing. I realize the kid was irresponsible in leaving it, but my bet is he came back to look for it and it was gone.

Being a parent of nearly skateboard aged kids, I would be really pissed that my investment (they aren't cheap no matter how much money you have) just disappeared. Just something to think about.
