  1. We never travel anywhere without our canine companion Boysie: who is also a very well travelled TravelBug
  2. Just a Passat estate for most caches - loads of room for rucksacks etc and a muddy dog gets the back seat. Though sometimes parking near caches can get you some modifications to the original specification.... For urban caches we use our smart car which has all the advantages of a mini - only its a lot cooler .......as its a convertable
  3. Well done Neil - won't be long befor you catch up with dad!
  4. we need a bit more on this one... Whoops - got distracted .... CD in a cache for over 2 Year is what I ment to say
  5. Chris is in IT - well gets paid for moving the mouse about and Maria is a lady of leisure after years of working as an Accountant.
  6. Its quite strange how the whole trading thing works. in our experience on or two trade downs can make the cache look just full of tat. When we start a cache its usually filled with Books, CDs, videos & some smaller toys for the kids. If people swap a book for an opal fruit wrapper then its not long before the cache looks empty. But sometimes you can't give stuff away - we have had a Radiohead Its swings and roundabouts really as I have noticed that some of our caches that wern't that full when we planted them are now bursting at the seams others have needed quite severe maintenance. I think our worst is Sherlock7 as noone knows what to swap for the commerative keepsake. Chris
  7. It is possible in a fairly short day - start at 1 and do them in order by tube is the quickest and easiest way though there are plenty of other caches close by. I'll nip out this week and top them up then as they are running a bit low Incase you havn't seen this advice before :- get yourself a London A-Z and use the links provided from the Tube map to find the locations on Streetmap.co.uk. Most central london caches can be found without a GPS and just an A-Z alone, though its not true in the parks. HTH Chris
  8. Thanks john and Dodgy Dave who both sent me the answer - panic over. Cheers Chris
  9. Hi Folks, Could anyone who has done it please, email me the answer to Sherlock3. I know this is an unusual request comming from the cache owner buit s I keep all the answers on my PC at work which is usually OK as I replicate it to my Palm Pilot ....which I left at Work...DOH! There is a cacher currently doing the series who needs some help and is only in London till Tuesday. Please help. Thanks Chris
  10. Not exactly a sig item but there is a special keyring available if you complete the sherlock series. Send us your snail mail address if you want one. Chris
  11. Oh that is really really sad - our condolences too, it must be heartbreaking.
  12. I couldn't resist the opportunity to do some Markwelling - heres a blast from the past. Chris
  13. For the record - I care what time it is in Greenwich. Chris
  14. I know the problem - one of the reasons I created Waypoint Workbench in the first place was to do the conversion so I could see it on streetmap. To use it type the location in the DMM.MMM columns & click fill in blanks. You will get the location in all sorts of formats & a link to streetmap.co.uk. HTH Chris
  15. Sorry its all my fault - I resurected a load of threads I havn't had time to respond to Chris
  16. If you want to spend some time in the country Epping Forest is easily accesable by tube checkout - Buckhurst Hill and Loughton on the caching tube map. Chris
  17. Well done Andy - not long till the big 1000
