I have a Magellan Merdian Gold GPS & I am currently looking for MapSend Strrets software. Does anyone know where I can get the best deal, price wise?

 

I don't mind buying on line as long as it is a reputable known company.

I just purchased my first GPS system, a Magellan Meridian Gold which has expandable memory using a Secure Digital (SD) memory card. My question is does any one know if any standard SD card will work or if the Magellan SD card is required?

 

The user manual does not state one way or another, it refers to the Megellen card, but that is a product they are trying to market. I understand about formating & the GPS has a utility to do this. However I noted the Magellen cards have a lock notch on the left side, does this have anything to do with ejecting the card or write protection?

 

I would not want to insert a standard card & then not be able to remove it.
