You could try asking on the GSAK Support Forum (http://support.gsak.net/) or contacting Clyde direct. There is a link at the bottom of every page on his site.

This Knowledge Books article may help too: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?p....page&id=26

Arriving in RoI by air requires a passport. I once flew from NI to Birmingham and back to Dublin and had to negotiate with the Gardai on the immigration desk to allow me back into the country having flown out with my driving license from Derry. Now that Ryan Air will only allow you to fly on a passport it's not as likely to happen but it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

Ulster is Eire (or at least part of it anyway) I think you meant was it in the NI or RoI bit of Ireland. Regardless it will be classed as Ireland as GC count Ireland as one entity/region for caching. (Knowledge Book article) So even if it is in NI (part of the UK) it won't be officially classed as a UK Mega

Were you doing a search? Usually happens to me when I put in an invalid search term or one with 3 words or less. If you outline the steps of what you were doing it might help us decide what went wrong

Have you tried the maps for GSAK's FindStatsGen Macro? I'm not sure of there is a UK Counties one but as there is one for Ireland I'd be pretty sure there is

I'll second the Geocaching Ireland recommendation but where are you intending to visit? That might make recommendations a bit easier

Target time for first review (not necessarily publish) is 72 hours from appearing in the queue.

In responce to the Fire Tack Topic

It's not up to the reviewer, it's up to the person who negotiated the landowner agreement or, if they're no longer active, whoever is prepared to take over responsibility. In some cases this person may be the reviewer but in this case I don't believe it is? -

I've just placed my first, which was developed entirely using sTeamTraen's excellent Earwigo Web based builder. Happy to help if you need any advice - email me through my profile. Baz. I only get to a log in page and no further http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...t&p=4325876

It breaks the rules of GC.com and not the forum. It scrapes the website, violating the ToUs of the site and therefore by using it you do so too

Where are all the FTF Hounds gone?

There has been a spate of this type of cache here in the last year or so and unfortunately I have to say I would rate them amongst the least enjoyable places to look for a cache -
Click on the link and download to your PC in whatever folder you want. In GSAK Open, select folder and point it where you saved the DL earlier. If you have more than one PQ DL them all first before doing the GSAK bit. I hope that GSAK will develop some working relationship with GC to agree a way of downloading these via GSAK but we'll have to wait a while for that.

There is an attribute for fee payable or not:

Not overly familiar with any of those areas except for Galway City. Not many Irish cachers frequent this forum so I'd recommend registering with the GCI Forum in my signature and asking there.

Or hasn't been published yet (or ever?)

Manchester Airport Geocache Exclusion Zone
dino-irl replied to Deceangi's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
The Prohibited Location was added by the reviewer at the time they archived the cache, not sure it was really needed, but it was their choice to add that to the cache title. That is to aid the review process in case someone places a cache nearby in the future. Your cache will show up on a nearby list and the "Prohibited Location" tag helps to flag an issue to the reviewer. -
glasgow/renfrewshire cache placement

I'd ask security at the park first before I started negotiating. They will definitely know who owns that spot. -
Where exactly, for how long and will you have a car?

Thanks

Garmin GPsr 60CSx with Windows 7
dino-irl replied to The Wobbly Club's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I've never needed to use any additional drivers but it could be that it didn't install properly. If you look under the hardware list when it's plugged in you might see it with a ? beside it. You could also try plugging it into a different USB port and it might re-install. -
Not sure what's causing your problems but everything will still be there when your issues are sorted out. It happened to me before too when I let it expire by mistake.
