Can you guess where the cache is ? This is the view you get as you walk up the hill.

Saw this while in France, I think their guidelines are slightly more relaxed than in the UK. Here are pics of a couple of the actual cache locations. PS. The signal strength being on top of a mountain was excellent. PPS. So was the view. PPPS. This is a must do cache.

I bagged 16th June, the same date as Edward I of England no less. A different yesr though, 1239.

Or for claiming dubious the armchair caches.

I do no planning at all When I get within about 1/2 mile I start looking for the green Public Footpath signs and then park up. Generally works, but not always.

I use TomTom to get there and then use the Garmin from there on. For a software compass try looking here... http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/modules.php?name=Downloads

I've off to France for a couple of weeks soon so... Know of any TB's with French links/requirements. Or with wishes to go up a mountain or visit the Med. Oh and are within easy reach of Milton Keynes so that I can pick them up.

I read somewhere that chocolate is poisonous. The lethal dose for humans however is 31 lbs. In the interests of science I am willing to undertake a test. Donations can be sent to ......

Or buy a cheap PDA. I dropped mine on the road yesterday, hard enough to eject the CF cards. Didn't really mind. PS It still works.

In the 1960s NASA spent more than $12,000,000 researching and developing a pen that would work upside-down and in zeroG conditions. The Russians used a pencil. I've got one. It's my geocaching pen 'cos it really does work in all conditions and it's shorter than normal to fit in your pocket. Present form the In-Laws, didn't know they were that expensive.

I got one of these, technically 2 cables which plug together. http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/...product_id=2285

These are UK sourced units I presume, with a 'proper' receipt... Mine's US sourced and was wondering about Warranty, not too fussed now. -

I bought a Legend which came with a 'copy' of Metroguide Europe. Soon after I went paperless with an IpaQ and then bought TomTom. I rarely use Metroguide now. May I suggest you consider a 2ndhand IpaQ, a 'copy' of TomTom5 and and an interface cable. TomTom5 get's you near and the GPS takes you the rest of the way.

GCNWFY is less than 0.5 mile away. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=gcnwfy

Thinking of getting a WiFi card for my PDA, but how many freespots are there out there. Had a quick look round the Net and they seem pretty scarce. Are there any Forums on the subject. PS I want FREE ones not payable Hotspots...

PS Anybody flying to Girona can do it easily. I'll be going skiing in a few months, if you can wait that long.

I'm going down that way in about a month. My name may give a clue However, I/we hadn't planned going that far south. We were planning on going to St Angles which is within about 40 miles, but in the mountains that's a long way. I'll have a look at the cache situation in the area and have a think.
