  1. Keep the moderators, they do a great and thankless job, and get rid of the 'Forum Police' . If the posting is in the wrong place the mods. will shift it... if the spellings wrong who cares...... If the topics has been discussed then give them a link to the original post not flame them for not looking Everyone has the right to their opinion and to post it here (within the rules) but if the minority would give their opinion instead of attacking the OP this would be a nicer place There could be room for a UK Off Topic topic as, I'm sure like many others, I rarely go onto the rest of the Forums In answer to the OP's question You ALL do a great job and if it aint broke don't fix it
  2. The East Anglian Cacher Forum has one or two members in Bedfordshire /Norhants area

    Screen Size

I have an Ipaq HW6915 running WM5 but the screen is only240x240..... Running the tutorial cartridge the info screens will scroll but the inventory etc pages don't scroll so I don 't see the bottom of the page so no back button or task panel...... or am I missing something Otherwise everthing seems ok also the wizard in the builder doesn't like UK dates setup on my computer althought the address lookup works if you use UK as a state and a UK postcode Cheers Dave

The NM is still on the cache and various emails to the owner have gone unanswered...... So if anyone knows GeorgiaGeoDude or lives near the cache please please please can you help rescue this little bear b4 the winter sets in Thanks for reading this Dave aka FuzzyBears
  5. On a Swiss cache... They Said ..... a nice gentle slope They meant.... You don't need ropes and crampons (just)
  6. As far as the East Anglian Cachers Forum is concerned we include Norfolk Suffolk Essex Cambridgeshire Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire into East Anglia.... anyone who caches in or near any of the above will be made most welcome...... even if you are only coming from up north for a holiday or a caching weekend (you know who you are) Dave

  9. Between Lancashire and the North Sea?? Dave Sorry couldn't resist I come from the 'wrong' side of the Pennines.I'll just put on my coat and...........
  10. Thanks for restoring my faith...... having read your and others earlier posts about local forums I went ahead and set up the East Anglia Cachers forum I then read the post from the GAGB and almost did the same as you are planning but as I set up the Forum 'for local by locals' I will let it run and see who goes where.... It's your time and effort but please don't rush into anything Dave
  11. GAGB covers more specialist topics such as landowner blanket permissions, and also has an off topic section, since these forums are moderated. The general geocaching chat at GAGB (and G:UK for that matter) is slow. I often redirect people from G:UK to here, whilst also answering their questions. Sorry didn't mean GAGB forums in general which are great for national topics but the quote of 'Local, Run by Locals, For Locals' made a lot of sense to me..... leave the big boys to what they are good at D
  12. if you follow that through then why have the GAGB ones when we have a UK one already here?
  13. Hi All We had the same problem ... I Emailed Clyde and hes 'mailed me the URL to pay for the upgrade... Hope this Helps Dave
  14. FuzzyBears claim Suffolk Mandy if it's still available CallieB
  15. We collect the pretty Icons so have no problem "Discovering" Coins at meets or in Cachers hands, in fact we carry a couple of coins for this reason and have even made the CacheMobile into a TB We would also have no problem Moving and logging a "Copy" of a coin etc But not sure we would want to claim them in this way Also if you then took the originals to a meet they would be in two places at once??? just my two pennyworth Dave
