I certainly would LIKE to attend and will if possible, but in any event I'm gonna mail the quilt to whoever is organizing the event/contest. That way it's GUARANTEED to be there!!! lol

Okay!!!!!! Phew!(I'm back.....sorry ppl)~~~~ Well folks...What do you think? I certainly would like to see the quilt get to it's final owner. As suggested by Dx, a cache event meet with a draw sounds like a great idea. I think the draw should be open to anyone who signed a square.......kinda fitting.
Dx mentioned that she'd like the draw taken place somewhere within 5 hours of her location. That being said, Guelph does look pretty good. what does everybody think??????

PDOP'S, I'm soooooo glad you asked that question. I currently have the quilt(It's been here about 6 weeks). In the last year my life has taken a few ups and downs, unfortunately to the point where I've had little or no time to Geocache, let alone even check e-mail. 300Mag has had his share too unfortunatley. I'd like to start a new thread in which we could all toss in our 2 cents about what should happen with the quilt.........Be it touring to cache meets, auction for charity of Dx's choice,...contest etc........
At any rate I just want to apoligize to everyone as I really feel I've run outta steam and let many folks down on this. It is certainly time for it to move on so everyone can see it.

Absolutely!......I was thinking along the the same lines. I thought perhaps that initially the quilt might travel around a bit...cache meets and the like just so all participants get a chance to actually see it.......Then perhaps an auction with the money going to a charity of DxChallenged choice. Just another thought......

Hi again
Ok, phew!.....At long last here is the Canadian-Geoquilt. GREAT job Dx!!! Surpassed my wildest expectations Both Myself and 300Mag want to apoligize to Dx and the entire Geocaching community of Canada as we have lagged of late. (did I mention we BOTH work for Canada Post?......LOL) But in all seriousness sometimes real life can kick you hard in the #$%@&^%'s and lead you astray from the things you truly enjoy in life such as Geocaching. (But we're on the comeback trail.....lol Lookout binthair, Napgravy......And all others who now hold the titles hehehe)
But enough ranting.........Behold!!!!!!
The following shots were initially taken as high-res photos. Anyone wanting the originals can e-mail me. The photos are in sequence and overlap. from top left 1...2. Then halfway down L-R 3-4. Then bottom L-R 5-6.
Enjoy. Way to go people! It turned out great! Now what do we do with this wonderful pice of Geocaching Canadiana?

Hi folks
Today I opened up my overflowing e-mail box and found a strange header from a user named frenetic with the subject line "Geoquilt". His message was the following:
quote:
Hi there, I need an opinion from a moderator from thehttp://www.geocaching.com webiste. I love that forum,
and I think I can help , I am trying to put together a
little app for the users.
Please give this thing a try (see attachment), and
give me any feedback you can, this will greatly help
me!
thanks
Jerry
Now obviously this attachment caused me to raise an eyebrow and run a virus scan. Lo and behold it most certainly was a Trojan.logger program. Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention....I'll post it in other geoquilt topic threads as well in the event this little turd has sent it out to others involved in the projects.
Cheers, cliffy

If it were slightly bigger I'd:
Pack a months worth of MRE rations in there along with myself and scream BOOO! to every cacher who opened it up...

Hi there:)
Seeing as I'll be heading down to NAS Oceana for the airshow in September, I was just wondering if anyone could suggest some fairly easy family oriented caches. Despite all the fantastic Naval aviation buzzing around I just can't resist hitting a cache or two......lol
Cheers

I LOVE that airshow! Haven't been in about 3 years though......Didn't they cancel it this year?
I'll be heading down to NAS Oceana Virginia next month for the ultimate in airshows (as Naval aviation goes...lol) Hope to nab a couple of VA caches too.
Cheers:)
