  1. Hey Nicki, thanks for bringing up Lynns 15,000. The only time I saw her caching she was getting her stats the same way as everyone else, going out and finding everything in the area. CONGRATS to CCCOOPER Agency on 15,000 finds!
  2. The lavatory ceiling deal will get you arrested, it will be destroying property not your own and is terribly irresponcible, in poor taste, and would not be approved if the reviewer knew where the cache was placed. that would fall into the dumb stunt catagory, not in the spirit of caching. now under a sink might fly, book in a library has been done with permission, a loose brick could work depending on where its done. It's important to understand that while you might be careful in placing a cache, the people looking might not be as gentle.
  3. With resorts offering on site caches and town parks offering classes, things are already getting too mainstream. Invite everyone and thats what you'll get, everyone. You'll get them for a few days or weeks, just long enough to ruin it. The ruin of many things is when you appeal to the most common denominator. It wouldn't take long before caching was banned in many, many places. If you want to play with Bubba and the knuckledraggers, thats fine, but it's not my game.
  4. It's not what I want to see on this site.
  5. Sounmds good, but not many folks will have coupons to swap.
  6. I think it bothers alot of folks. That's what the SBA note is for. Should be archived. If one goes for a long time, contact the local reviewer via E-mail, they will take it from there. Of course a note to the owner is always correct.
  7. Think bathing suits By the way, A little Duct tape and that allagash is good for another 20 yrs!
  8. The adding machine type scroll works well. Just avoid making it too long. As You have a 1" Diam. Tube, you can roll the paper around a pencil. This makes it easy to reroll. Cut a piece of paper so that the width is a little narrower than the length of the tube. Use the length of the paper, no need to add more, and roll it tightly around the pencil, It should be a loose fit in the tube. For narrow tubes (BISON, ect.) I glue a match stick or toothpick to the top of the paper to get a tight roll that is easy to reroll in the field. Hope that helps!
  9. Get your teeth fixed? I thought you swallowed a cache!
  10. Maybe they'll find Jimmy Hoffa! He's buried in New Jersey.
  11. Hang in there Goldfishy, You don't have to settle for the muggles of life! If I was 20 yrs. younger and you were a 1000 miles closer.....who knows. Don't try to kiss the frog it just makes his bulb light up! Good luck with a good idea, maybe we need another forum to meet geo-partners.
  12. If you or a buddy can, use your coords to see how close they get you. Then take a new set. Let them avg. for 10 min. If any of your 6 sets are way out, discard them and avg. the rest. Also good idea to use the hints. Good Luck! Get that bad boy out there!
  13. This is one of the few puzzle caches I would bother doing! I would have no way to take the video in the field with me, however, if I lived nearby I'd be in on the FTF race( at a respectful 25MPH). I can map the video route easily from watching it. Project a waypoint to get to the cache or Make it stage one of a two part multi, for increased GPS use. You are onto something good here. As far as the video being off GC.com, can you make it so that it can only link from GC.com? Or that it auto-returns to GC.Com? Good Luck! you can bring it to an area near me at anytime!
  14. I can't believe I read the whole thing! That's a whole heck of alot of PQs to find 31 caches. And at a total cost of about $9, 3months membership, a real bargain!
  15. 5-Get strange looks from stranger people 4-Invent new uses for old things 3-See dead things up close 2- Get to walk around in circles and call it a hobby 1- Get to see tupperwares full line of containers, in Cammo
  16. Not bad, but I didn't think I was being a "rogue cacher" just because I place and find caches in urban and suburban areas! Gee, do I have to move to the country and Hike to caches to be a mainstream cacher?
  17. ENE, Cacheknit, needlesandcoins,cachingneedles,E_E,Cache kids, Team EE. Needles'nCans Just afew hope it helps Erik, Nice meeting you at the Lakeland Event.
  18. Don't worry Terry, the commitment papers will arrive shortly!
  19. Where I live, Lakeland, FL The caches are pretty dense. There is a wide varity of caches. Some junk( why did you take me here?) caches, some very creative micros and some great larger caches. The settings range from Downtown urban ammo boxes (hard to hide), to the many great parks in the area. Most downtown hides are micros, many outside downtown are not. It's a mix that fits the area. I see a movement by individual cachers to improve the quality of caches in the area. Many micros are turning into Decons or other small containers. As far as JAX is concerned, I haven't had the opportunity to cache there yet. But many cachers over here have. The reputation here of JAX is very positive. "JAX is the place to go!" , "WOW, you can go to Jax and find lots of great caches, just get together with them and you'll have a great time!", " HOSPITALITY is wonderful in JAX!". People here easily know who puts out the quality caches in Jax, it's not that hard to know for any area if you do a little research. So the Lakeland folks say thanks to the JAX folks! Don't let the BSartists wear you down.
  20. Would you like a list of my caches to put them in? I don't know any cachers who wouldn't like them. They are the real deal!
