  1. San Antonio Bead Game The last three logs for this cache are. 1 - DNF 2 - Note 3 - Found It All that was left of the cache was a string and drywall screw. The owner has since made the cache unavailable.
  2. On my 100th Cache I parked here. My log entry: [11:10 am Found parking right next to the cemetery (see photo). The Sheriff was kind enough to stop by to check on me. He asked if I was geocaching, said he didn’t know that there was one in the area but that he used to geocache. He said there are too many caches now to keep up with it (Too many caches? Is that possible?).] Naljnl – vg vf bx gb cnex gurer.
  3. A PQ can be run for up to 500 waypoints and 150 mile radius
  4. It's easy to build PQ's that don't return anything. After you build the query, use the option to show the results on the screen to make sure it's correct.
  5. Where do you draw the line? Do you stop putting micro's in the mouth's of plastic snakes because the plastic snakes will cause people to start picking up poisonous snakes? I'm not advocating either position, just asking the question.
  6. It ain't the US Post Office When you place a bug, you are sending it out on it's own, you take your chances. That's what the fun is all about. In general, people try to follow the wishes of the TB owner, but the TB often takes a circuitous route. It's not the destination...........it's the journey.
  7. I just took 11 bugs from the Midwest to Texas with the intent of collecting as many and bringing them back. Well, 75 caches later, I left 11 and only found 1 to bring back. Am I disappointed.....no way....just part of the game. I'm sure the owners liked seeing their bugs travel a thousand miles. Next time it might be the other way around. In general I try to drop bugs in caches that are unlikely to be muggled and appear to be well maintained.
  8. I'm not from MN, but I cache in the Rochester area when visiting friends.
  9. hey.....slow down there....how am I ever supposed to advance in the ranks Congratulations
  10. Congratulations. The next 100 will be easier
  11. I'll applaud you for coming up with a new game, but I doubt it's something I would play. Just a couple of first impressions. 1. The font is hard to read 2. The Paypal Donation's on the front of the Play page is a turn off 3. Don't understand the point of the game.....how do I win? That being said, Good luck and I hope others enjoy the game.
  12. I just did one that was spring loaded and the snake jumps out of the container at you.
  13. As Toronto doesn't have a lot of mountains, you'll probably find the street route maps more usefull. I have both loaded on my Explorist 500. I use the Direct Route almost every day but rarely use the Topo 3D.
  14. Nothing to kvetch about, just a big thanks for the steady stream of new features.
  15. I found one that was about 40 up in a tree. To retrieve the cache you had to find where the rope that was holding it was attached to the ground so you could let it down.
  16. Sounds like fun. Are there any infringement issues with Hasbro the makers of the original Clue game?
  17. Would this be similar having the final cache available to all members but having the supporting caches as premium member only caches?
  18. Knowing that it is a manual process sure makes you appreciate the work that the reviewers put into this. With the way new caches are popping up all over it's going to get harder and harder.
  19. That's good news. I also thought they would be gone at the end of the year. Does this apply to Locationless and Earth Caches as well or are they history?
  20. I just did a multi where the final and next to final were about 60 feet apart although the posted coordinates were about a half a mile away. It would seem to make sense that this information must/should be stored in the database somewhere. If you don't record the coordinates for each stop on a multi, how do you know if the proximity rule has been violated on the next cache that is placed in that general area?
  21. How can you be inappropriately dressed for a library? Does your library require formal wear? Good Point. I was dressed for the cold. Long underwear, snowmobile boots, parka with a heavy sweater underneath etc.... I'm sure the library wouldn't care, but I would have been a puddle of sweat if I'd gone inside and didn't undress [down to my street cloths ]. In the summer, I'm often covered with dirt, mud and sweat. Knowing in advance would make this the first stop of the day, or just a special stop after work or part of a group of grab-n-go type caches.
  22. I thought for sure Google would translate Finnish to English.....no such luck, I'll have to look harder You picked a good time of year to start caching.....no ticks, no bugs, no brush, no posion ivy [ok, you can stil get it in the winter, it's just harder]. Welcome to the addiction.
  23. OOOHHH OOOHHH I wanna try this one! Looks like it's worth driving down from the midwest for. Sorry to see some cacher moved it on you. I may never get to do this one, but I'm adding it to my watch list.
  24. If you use one of the 'free' services, the bugs tend not to move as fast and/or move but don't get logged.
