  3. yep I would say gsak but I also use alot, topo USA maps to plan out my trips. Gsak is a very cool program to download the cords and sometimes I also use spinner, you can get them from the geocacheing site in resources ..
  4. While cacheing in the west hills of red bluff CA I came upon a rather hard service which I thought was cement. (But found out later it was cromia sulfate) I was about 1/4 miles from cache location and through the trees I seen from being in the cement center there was a light beeming above but just couldnt make it out since it was far away so I scatted on up the side hill to cache location. . Later when I was at the cache site I looked back and seen a space ship landing on that cement pad..Alians, they were also cacheing at this cache and I actully beat them to it for a good and clean.. FTF!!! Just goes to show my Garmin 72 is the best there is!!!
  5. Hello, I am a geocacher from Northern CA. My dad just bought a Megellan 2200T and were trying to figure out how to use it for geocacheing. (it's not the crossover unit) I heard there supposed to come out with a download to make it a crossover (SOON?) but not as of yet (will they?) and cant get anyone to let me no if it really is going to happen. They said on Jan.17th that it would be 4-6 weeks and now they just emailed me from support and said not yet.... Do you no if there is anyway to use this 2200T for finding lat. and long. locations?(Caches) anyway. Is there a way to import cords like that in it? Or even hand manualy cords for every cache? . Thanks. eyesofice2us~~~
  6. I was entered into witness protection program Jan 12-05 and the Gov pays me to stay home.. so what else can I do?? This came along as one of the dept told me about it one day and since my relocation was in the country. this was great. I get clean air and all..
  7. Well if you dont want to pay for the shipping. And dont mind if a book comes with it. I have picked up 2 so far at the local Pawn Shop for under $50.00. I got to try them out first by bringing a couple waypoints to enter and knowning ahead of time about where they were and they both worked great. $50.00 and I'm off to the cache land..Take a friend if needed to operate it and show enter points. --Cache-on!
  8. when are you going to implement the NEW-Immediate new cache notification? would really like to see that.. thanks..eyesofice2ushahaspammersnotme@yahoo.com (edited it to upset spammers - J)
  9. I was wanting to no if I am missing something, is there or could there be a email message sent to my email when a new cache is put up on the site that is in the area of the user of say a radis of 50 miles or whatever the user lists? If a member posts a cache and soon as it clears the approval, it would be nice that an email is sent to everyone in that area that a new cache was just listed in the users area. then I could grab a FTF fast ,. hehe. anything like that now? This would be cool. Thanks~~ eyesofice2us ~~
