  1. Who is this guy 'Dave Palmer', anyway? Can't they use his proper name? It's Deceangi! That's Dee-sea-angie. Get it right BBC
  2. BBC Breakfast have announced they're doing an item about 'the bomb' this morning. Coming up soon at about 06:50.
  3. I'm not thinking in terms of just the East Midlands but to use it for any region. For us it would be mostly the West Midlands but it would be useful if we go further afield too.
  4. If you use the Advanced Search page you can search by Country/region and bring up a list of all the caches in the East Midlands. If you then click on the little blue icon for Favourites it'll list them with the "Most Favoured" caches at the top of the list - A good way to get an idea of what your fellow cachers consider to be the best ones. MrsB That looks like it could be really useful to us. Thank you very much, Mrs B Izzy & Paul
  5. Oooh, thanks so much for that MartyBF, and thanks Oofy for an excellent article (and not because I get a mention ) It's not so bad being over 50 after all!
  6. Apparently the article has been published now and I have been told it is very good I would love to read the article but don't know how to get hold of one. I don't want to take out a subscription but I don't know of another way. I have got a mention which is another reason why I am interested in reading it. Izzy
  7. I'm sorry, but am I missing something here? Why are people talking about paying out money for a Speed Camera Database? If you obey the rules of the road and stick to the speed limit, surely you haven't got to worry about points on your licence or spending money on a database that isn't required. Uh? I'm not wanting to offend anyone but... to me, it's a no-brainer! Paul
  8. WMcaching Forum is being upgraded and moving to a new host, imminently. This will involve everything being transferred from the old host to the new. During this transfer process the forum will unavailable. It is expected to take about 3 days to complete and will hopefully be up and running again on Thursday,10th February. Once operational the forum will be found at WMcaching Apologies from all the team at WMcaching for the inconvenience
  9. If it is a recently published cache which you have attempted but has yet been unfound, it might be an idea to post a DNF as well as emailing the CO thus alerting other cachers to a possible problem.
  10. Wow! I love that photo, martlakes @Pharisee But is it 12 naked Mandys?
  11. Amongst our photos of caching trips over the last five years or so, we have collected together a few which could loosely illustrate The Twelve Days of Christmas There are still many gaps though. Can anyone help fill the gaps for us (preferably in a similar vein) Five Old Fing(er)s Four Calling "Berks" Three Bench Ends Two Purple Gloves And a Partridge, but not a Pear Tree
  12. Errr......He has posted on another thread and put his name - although I do know of some women who shorten their name to this....... And my hubby can be simply infuriating at times!
  13. Well, I'm pretty sure I know HIS first name now. Hmmmm. Is that why hubby has been spending so much time on the computer these days!
  14. Could it be Johny Depp? Oh! Please, please PLEASE let it be Johny Depp
  15. Lime Candy makes scoubies to put in caches which we always like to see. The Boat People used to recycle things by decorating them with traditional barge painting flowers. I have a lovely painted tin which I use to keep my duplicate TB dog tags. Go for it.......they WILL be appreciated. Let us know when you start placing them.......I would love to find one
  16. Apparently "This log has already been nominated as a Lost & Found story" It must come into the "Lost story" category (just noticed, keehotee nominated it - very good )
