Pennsylvania 2005 - Got an activation code but GC says it does not match

I just went to the geocoinclub's code activation site, tested my PA 2005's, and everything still works. If you continue to have problems, email me through GC, and I'll retrieve your coin code from my old list.

    Yime

    Email sent

  2. At the time of registering, we will provide the 7 cache pages and the route for the Run. These will become permanent traditional regular caches afterwards. The pages will be activated on the day after the run.

Perchance will they be available as downloadable files to a Garmin 60cs? (or to any computer-connectable gps device, for that matter)

Good thought! ;) I'll talk to Roy and see what we can do.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

It would be very easy to do in GSAK or EasyGPS...then all you would need to do is either send them to people or have a laptop there that people could use.

Heck, I'll even volunteer to do the GSAK points for you, just send me the Long/Lat information and any details you want included in the files.

Thanks Allanon. Roy has been working with GSAK. If he runs into a problem we'll get in contact with you.

We will have a computer at the Park. But those that don't have Garmin will have to bring their computer/GPS cables.

    Okie Dokie...

I'll just throw this out though, so others can plan...which Garmin cable(s) will you have? USB or Serial or both?

:D Oh gosh.... You would have to ask technical question like that!

Called Roy and he said we have both USB and Serial. The cable we have is for the Garmin Rinos. (We just taked about that this afternoon and told me that other Garmin GPS's use different cables.)

We will also have a disk and a floppy with the info for those that bring their own computers.

    Happy Caching till the Run!

This method has worked well for me. I try to do State & Countries in one and Personal & Event, ect in another.

The very first coin I ever saw was found in a cache. It was Nurse Daves geocoin. This started me down the road to the poor house! I don't even want to think about what $'s is in those folders!

  6. Haven't seen my set yet in the POBox, but hope to in the next few days. From the pictures this set looks fantastic! I wasn't thinking ahead when I order mine.

But after seeing the real thing, I had thought that this would make an ideal prize for the Tribes up coming event. GeoPoker Run

If anyone out there has an extra set they would like to sell me. Please email.

    Thanks

  7. I have been logging coins for DAYS.... I used the following lists... geocoinclub.com/code, tsbsales.com/geocache/coincode, gccoins.com/TC2active, oakcoins.com/activate/, activation.geocoin.net/, coincodes.com/ and travelertags.com/ to get codes

But I am having problems with the following.

Authus Decoder - Got an activation code - GC says not found in data base

Geo Ammo Can - Was told an activation code had all ready been retrieved - GeoCoin Club has not answered any of my emails

Micro-Mini 2006 Geocoin - Got an activation code and then told my Tracking code was an Invalid Traverler Tag and could not activate it.

NW Pennsylvania Gold & Silver - Got an activation codes then told they don't exist in GC. Where do I activate them?

Oklahoma - Got an activation code but GC says it doesn't exist.

Pennsylvania 2005 - Got an activation code but GC says it does not match

Sergerald's Geocoin - Gold & Silver - Where do I activate these? Got codes already

Texas Bluebonnet - Got aan ctivation code but GC says it does not match.

West Tennessee/GOWT - Got an activation code but GC says it does not match their data.

Yellow Jeep February 2006 - Got an activation code but GC says it does not match their data.

Can anyone tell me what to do or do I dare go to Groundspeak for help?

  8. My postmaster is getting tired of trying to stuff all those padded envelopes into my little PO Box.

But I love the dirty work of digging them out of that little old box in the wall.

  9. While down at the Longview Cache Machine this last weekend. I took advantage of looking for a few Heritage Markers.

    1. Cowlitz Mission - Found - Had been marked MISSING (FTF Og's Outfit)

    2. Cowlitz Landing - Never did find it, but Og's Outfit did. Had been marked MISSING

    3. Monticello Convention - Had been marked MISSING

    4. Claquato - Found (FTF Og's Outfit)

    5. Willie Keil's Grave

    6. Bruceville-Bruceport

    7. Roosevelt Elk - Drove 101 clear to junction 4 and back to Raymond and never saw it on 101. Maybe on one of the off roads.

    8. Hood Canal - Found

Well.... I wasn't quick enough with logging the finds. Shouldn't have taken that extra day coming home.

Submitted my finds and waiting for approval.

FYI - The Suquamish Nation #12 in pamphlet (Totem Pole in book) use to be on the left side of Hwy 305, heading north just before crossing Agate Pass Bridge, is missing. At the Tribal Center I was told that both the totem and sign rotted away and was never been replaced. I sure didn't see it. All there is now is a parking lot.
