  3. Got my set today.. Awsome coin/pin set. It will be in the front page of my collection for all the world to see!
  4. Perchance will they be available as downloadable files to a Garmin 60cs? (or to any computer-connectable gps device, for that matter) Good thought! I'll talk to Roy and see what we can do. Thanks for the suggestion. It would be very easy to do in GSAK or EasyGPS...then all you would need to do is either send them to people or have a laptop there that people could use. Heck, I'll even volunteer to do the GSAK points for you, just send me the Long/Lat information and any details you want included in the files. Thanks Allanon. Roy has been working with GSAK. If he runs into a problem we'll get in contact with you. We will have a computer at the Park. But those that don't have Garmin will have to bring their computer/GPS cables. Okie Dokie... I'll just throw this out though, so others can plan...which Garmin cable(s) will you have? USB or Serial or both? Oh gosh.... You would have to ask technical question like that! Called Roy and he said we have both USB and Serial. The cable we have is for the Garmin Rinos. (We just taked about that this afternoon and told me that other Garmin GPS's use different cables.) We will also have a disk and a floppy with the info for those that bring their own computers. Happy Caching till the Run!
  5. Where do I go to get a code for NW Pennsylvania?

  10. This method has worked well for me. I try to do State & Countries in one and Personal & Event, ect in another. The very first coin I ever saw was found in a cache. It was Nurse Daves geocoin. This started me down the road to the poor house! I don't even want to think about what $'s is in those folders!

But after seeing the real thing, I had thought that this would make an ideal prize for the Tribes up coming event. GeoPoker Run If anyone out there has an extra set they would like to sell me. Please email. Thanks Lummieh aka Dianne

  18. Just checking to see if you got my email...
  19. Well.... I wasn't quick enough with logging the finds. Shouldn't have taken that extra day coming home.
  20. While down at the Longview Cache Machine this last weekend. I took advantage of looking for a few Heritage Markers. 1. Cowlitz Mission - Found - Had been marked MISSING (FTF Og's Outfit) 2. Cowlitz Landing - Never did find it, but Og's Outfit did. Had been marked MISSING 3. Monticello Convention - Found - Had been marked MISSING 4. Claquato - Found (FTF Og's Outfit) 5. Willie Keil's Grave - Found 6. Bruceville-Bruceport - Found 7. Roosevelt Elk - Drove 101 clear to junction 4 and back to Raymond and never saw it on 101. Maybe on one of the off roads. 8. Hood Canal - Found Submitted my finds and waiting for approval. FYI - The Suquamish Nation #12 in pamphlet (Totem Pole in book) use to be on the left side of Hwy 305, heading north just before crossing Agate Pass Bridge, is missing. At the Tribal Center I was told that both the totem and sign rotted away and was never been replaced. I sure didn't see it. All there is now is a parking lot.
  21. This is for all of those that sent their TB's with Krew to travel with him on his move to Germany. You will be happy to learn that he has started to move them. We had all but given up hope seeing our TB's placed. We had emailed him many time with no response. With a helpful email from Fledermaus, Krew finally got back to us. Below, in part, is the email we recieved. Dear Seabeck Tribe, Please accept my apology for the excessive amount of time that I have neglected to move your geocaching game pieces. I do have your Travel Bugs DJ's Dreams and On The Wings Of A Dove and I intend to move them along between now and May 1, 2006 by placing them in one of two geocaches I have previously found near Heidelberg, Germany. I will have to spread out the placement over a period of time due to the small size of these individual geocache containers. Fledermaus ensured that I understood how much these TBs meant to you when I took them and I want you to know that I am ashamed of myself for keeping them out of play for such a long time. He made a great effort to teach me how to play this game in the right way. Please don't allow my mistakes to reflect on him. My original intent was to spread the joy of geocaching to members overseas as well as help U.S. geocachers collect mileage and interesting stories from abroad. There is no excuse for my poor game play. I simply have not prioritized your enjoyment of the game over many circumstances that have contributed to failing in my duties. Some specific personal situations I chose to focus on rather than moving your TBs include moving overseas and the disorganization associated with packing and unpacking, searching for housing, poor internet access, transportation challenges, language barriers, poor weather during the winter season, searching for employment, learning new job skills, poor health and family duties. I have also found it very difficult to locate geocaches with my GPS receiver. The geocaches I have found have been small (plastic containers) and about 100 meters away from the location indicated by my GPSr. I have used the clues or spoiler photos to locate my few finds and have not searched for many due to the descriptions being in German. While these situations proved challenging, I do not offer them as excuses. I take personal responsibility for my poor performance and ask for your forgiveness. Again, I am very sorry for spoiling your enjoyment of a great game and I intend to correct my actions as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, Sincerely, Krew For those that have not seen their TB's moved should email Krew and express your encouragement of placing them soon. We want to personal thank Fledermaus for his help. The Tribe
