Hey all. I snapped my car lighter power cable for my Garmin Legend C (closed the car door on it ) Anyway, it's just a mini USB connector on one end and the lighter adaptor on the other. I have a USB cable with both the normal end and a mini end and a lighter adaptor that will fit a USB connector in it for my Dell Axim. Would this work with the Garmin? I don't want to try it until I find out. I'd hate to make smoke come out of the Legend. It's so hard to get it back in!
Thanks!!!

Check your local Best Buy as well. They have the complete car kit (City Select, dash stand, cigar power cord) for $129. I got mine there and they had a few in stock.

...I will probably never use Mapquest again.
What's a Mapquest?
Exactly

Now that I have my Legend C I will probably never use Mapquest again. The GPS made it obsolete and no more wrong turns!!!!

I just got my first GPSr for Christmas and it's a Legend C. I really don't have anything to compair it to but so far I love it. I was able to load a complete drive from O'Hare Airport in Chicago to Iron River, MI in it (it used every bit of the 24 meg but it fit!) and can autoroute to Caches. I do wish it had support for memory cards but besides that I think it works for me perfectly.

I purchased the Garmin Auto Nav kit at Best Buy for $129. Came with Mapsource City Select, the weighted dash stand and the permanent and removable sticker mounts. So far so good.

When I purchased my Garmin Legend C and the car kit a few weeks ago I noticed that I didn't have the adaptor that fits on the back of the GPS to make it attach to the dash stand. I saw it was supposed to come with the unit but was not in the box. Neither was the wrist strap. I called Garmin and within two days they sent me the wrist strap and the handlebar bike kit (which includes the adaptor) for free. I am more than satisfied with the way they handled the situation.
