Seekerfamily Week #1 - Other than geocaching I really like to fish. So would run a cointest based on fishing. Show us a pic of your best catch or how guess how many fish we caught on our last fishing trip? We love McKenzie Binns idea of 1 in 100 to encourage pics of geocoins.

So far the commish hasn't chimed in here but it looks like we will have enough to make a league. I emailed him to see if he is interested in the league and defending his companionship. I forget it he or his wife took first.
He needs to defend his COMPANIONSHIP if he beat his wife but he needs to defend his championship from the rest of the players in the league.

Hey SLAPSHOT. I don't want to get on your case or anyone else. Sometimes trackables are dropped off in areas that are vacation hotspots and people don't have a chance to immediately log them in. We travel to Orlando regularly and visit caches with a lot of other visitors. We commonly find coins and TB not logged in to caches. We will post a note on the trackable page saying we picked it up and will wait on the previous cacher to place it in the cache and then place it on our watchlist. If there is no activity after 1 week (plenty of time to get home and log the trackable) we will try to contact the last person that has the trackable in their inventory. If no response we will then grab it. This gives the previous cacher time to correctly log the item and give it the correct miles. It will also let the trackable ownere know that is in our possession. We also always try to log a note when trackables listed in caches are not present.

A little Canadian joke
After the North American Beer Festival, all the brewery presidents
decided to go out for a beer. The guy from Corona
sits down and says, 'Hey Senor, I would like the world's best beer, a
Corona .' The bartender dusts off a bottle from
the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from Budweiser says, 'I'd like the best beer in the world,
give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser.' The
bartender gives him one..
The guy from Coors says, 'I'd like the only beer made with Rocky
Mountain spring water, give me a Coors.' He gets it.
The guy from Molson Canadian sits down and says, 'Give me a Coke.'
The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives
him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask, 'Why aren't
you drinking a Molson's?'
The Molson Canadian president replies, 'Well, I figured if you guys
aren't drinking beer, neither would I.'
Hope you like it, eh!

The name Canada comes from the St. Lawrence Iroquoian word kanata, meaning "village" or "settlement". A little history Eh!

Strange Brew was going to have a sequel called Home Brew but was dropped when financing fell through. Bummer, Eh!

Good luck with your new addiction.
The people in these forums are great at helping answer your questions and also very generous. We still read posts here daily after 3 years. Watch for the occasional contest (cointests) here as you may have a chance to win new coins, we don't see them as much anymore but we have done quite a few here and won 5-6. Got some very nice personal coins. This was great when we first started and had no coins to trade.

Great looking coin. Remember "stressed" spelled backwards "desserts" Just saying.
Thanks for pointing that out. On the way to get some shakes to cool off in the summer heat. 1/2 price at Sonic for the summer solstice.

Congrats to the reciepents and thanks to the mystery gifter. We just created a new cache based on all the missing geocoins out there before seeing this post. We noticed when we were at Geowoodstock that all the coins to move seemed to be proxies because the real ones go missing. Of the 12 trackables we traded 7 proxies, 1 real coin, and 4 travel tags. We started a cache 7 years ago for geocoins called the geocoin vault (still active and visited 2 weeks ago) which hasn't seen a geocoin in it for about a year. This new cache proxy bank is starting with 5 proxy coins. Hope to at least keep these moving and allow cachers to collect icons, not the coins.

Thanks, that worked for 2 of the caches, the third did not have a completion code as was stated when we finished the cartridge.
-
just read ranger fox reply about 16 digit codes - was able to delete the last letter for 2 and the unlock codes worked for 2 of the three.

Hello,
Has anyone else had problems with the saved file not unlocking the Wherigo cartridge on Wherigo.com? We have completed 3 cartridges in Florida in the last 2 weeks. Got all to the final, got the completion code and then saved the cartridge. Get home to log on Wherigo.com and when we upload the gws file it says that the cartridge was not completed. When we type in the code it is not recognized. The first one thought that possibly we had copied the code incorrectly. The one done today was very careful with writing the correct code (not the best handwriting) but will not recognize or unlock on any of these cartridges. We really enjoy the Wherigo idea - it was the reason we bought a garmin colorado (a week before the oregon came out- wish we knew that ahead of time). Thanks for any help or suggestions.
