    I'm not buying anymore geocoins or trackables, out of the small number I have every one of them has gone missing, one is with a 12 year old in America who's log says "mine now" 2 months ago despite 2 messages stating it's mine and please move it on he's ignored it, others have all gone missing in short spaces of time, i'm afraid they all have personal stories attached to them and have a small sentimental value and I am fed up of people losing them etc :(

     

    Is there anyway the 12 year old can be reported and made to hand the trackable back ?

    I know the feeling. I'm about to give up myself. The thing is I've released not one geocoin but a number of them and so far not even one has been moved to another cache. I don't really care so much about the loss of the coin. It's just that I don't like feeling that I'm being played for a fool. All I want is for a single coin to be moved just once, that's all I ask for, and it will restore my faith in people.

     

    If you were closer, I would help, we are on opposite sides of the coin.

     

    I know which coin you are talking about that the 12 year old has. I picked it up a cache and dropped it off at Groundspeak HQ where I figured it would be safe. He grabbed it from me before I could drop it into the headquarters cache. I sent him emails asking him first to dip the coin so it would get credit for being in the cache, then explaining how to log a trackable and some trackable etiquette. He did write me back, but the response was something like "why don't you just log it yourself" which I couldn't do without the tracking number because he grabbed it from me. He has someone else's coin too that he picked up at the same time from HQ.

    I did the artwork for this coin and Fluttershy was my codesigner. We produced and sold the coin through Hogwildstuff in 2008. The glitter version was my Artist Edition so there aren't too many of those. Fluttershy's version has purple in the background. I don't have any left for trade or sale, just a set for my personal collection. Probably the only place to get one now is through trade or ebay.

    What a cool idea for a coin! I love taking pictures when I go caching, so I will share a few.

    This photo was taken in Harriman State Park, which is just minutes away from home, and where I first started finding geocaches in 2004. With over 200 miles of trails in the park, the park is full of hiking and ammo cans! There are lots of scenic views and beautiful places, and this is just one of them.     A Revenge of Nerds

    There were a lot of versions of the nerds made. There were 2 separate mintings, the original was just the nontrackable version, and the second minting people could order the original version and/or the trackable version. Some people who had been in the first group ordered more of their original color the second time around, some ordered a new color, and then there were people who were new to nerds that placed an order. I know that there are v1 nerds in the same color with different names engraved on them (people shared an order). I have a lot in my personal collection but I;m pretty sure I don't have them all.     Whew, at long last! I'm relieved... Now that leaves only my 3 coins mailer to Tadpole379 to reach their new home safely. Fingers crossed!

     

    They arrived safely today!! Thank you!! :lol: :lol:

     

    I guess they wanted to take the scenic route..lol

    If my infos are correct, none of my three overseas mailers has arrived yet. I can't believe they got all lost... Either they got stuck at some zealous customs office, or they took the ship instead of the plane!

     

    I hate it when it takes this long.

     

    I am still waiting for your package. It has 3 coins in it, so I hope it makes it!!

     

    Getting worried about this one, especially since I am moving, and the package will have to be forwarded to my new address if if doesn't arrive by tomorrow.

    Sorry I have not emailed you yet, but I am in the middle of moving to Florida, and my coins are packed up. I will be able to send you a list hopefully by next weekend, though I don't have many traders.

    I just brought all my packages to the PO and sent them off, they didn't have delivery confirmation. Not that delivery confirmation actually means anything to the PO, The PO lost a package that did have DC and the PO did not compensate me in any way. But in NJ, it def should have gotten to you by now. Which coin was it? I will send you another one if I have a duplicate..

    I don't have another of what I sent you, and if it hasn't gotten to you yet, I would say it is most likely lost forever.

    I can send you something else, but I only have a few traders left and my personal coins. Let me know what you want to do.
