I have a find that shows It's not about the numbers
Me too!
And check out the CO on that one. Where have I seen that name before. Hmmmm...
Probably some wannabe
-
Not unlike others, I'll give a longer post, if it's deserved. Wether it's a bit of the story about the find that others may find interesting (or funny), or a play on words on the find. If nothing seems appropriate or wanted, than a TFTC is it.

Would it be the McCache series?
-
I can understand the frustration, but if I found my log was removed because of a simple message left from my smart phone I would most certainly report it. Who are you as the placer to require what I say?
Or how you say it?
-
Somehow that seems kinda
-
Not sure who you are, not sure I care, but I will say that you aren't the only one that is getting burned out. the few caches I've been working just haven't had my heart in it. Heading to KS & hitting up Mingo, hoping that'll work.
-
On the other hand, I don't think there's any rules or guidelines against you going out to the cache and using an eraser or correction fluid to remove the signature from the logsheet...
I've wondered if anyone has done that. Or admit if they had.
-
I had a log deleted for a find (most likely) because of the fact I nade a encrypted comment about having another similar container nearby container. I had to repost the find.

No, but you will certainly see the sacred geo-trail going to the cache site. It is quite popular these days.
I've found more than one cache sans GPS because I read the trail sign straight to the cache.
I did that with a couple like that, just from the pix. I'm looking @ going for Mingo nest month, just to say I was @ Mecca

OK, a quick update. I sent an email to the CO, to no avail. Also did a NM, ditto results. Just sent a note to the reviewer. We'll see what happens now. As I stated before, I want no ill feelings (or feelers), but it seems to me that if you're to set a cache, you SHOULD try & keep it up! Thanks for all the info & thoughts.
-
I suspect that the CO maybe ignoring it, since (I assume) he gets notified when someone logs a visit. I'll send the reviewer a note & have him take a look.
-
Thanks for the info. I went to look @ http://coord.info/GC1JAPF, & as you can see, there's a string of people asking to have the CO take a look. I thought about sending a note off, but am a bit leary of starting any ill feelings.
-
I know this probably been brought up else where, but when a NM has been posted on a cache, does the reviewer get a note on it, so that they can keep an eye on it?
-
I think that could depends on the difficulty / type of cache. Obviously , the Power trail would carry different weight than a 2/2 (or higher) single. I also like the idea of a quiz that covers some basic knowledge.
-
I wasn't thinking of one or the other, but both time & activity.
-
i would suggest a certain activity level as well. If there's just a time element, then the potential CO could just lurk for the 3 months (or however long), & not gain anything. Just a thought.
-
I'd love to see the looks the neighbors would give the finders!
-
got mine in an email, & i figured that it applied to so much, even caching!

I have 3.6.15, & don't have any problems. I did have to reinstall everything (windows XP, modem & sound drivers FF, everything)after the automatic updates crashed everything. I'm still working on it, & am still wondering how the heck THAT happened.

There's @ least one in my area.

What about plastic apples? Hang one from a tree.
I found a plastic banana in a pine tree. My kids got a kick out of it. It was the first time we found an unusual cache container.
I recently got one that was a plastic peach. http://coord.info/GC1C4DK

I just ran across this article regarding an effort to remove some of the estimated 50 tons of trash that has been left behind on Mt. Everest. http://cheeju.wordpress.com/2007/05/30/our-clean-everest/
Seems like they've been talking about and or working on this for years. I hope they can make some progress on the current trash & keep it cleaned up some.

It may just be me, but it almost seems like the GR message is aimed to change the lawbreaking of the the few & remind the many to keep up the good stuff they're doing. I could be wrong, though.
