thread I just inflicted on everyone.
Look for the links to Plucker and GPX2HTML they will be of more use to you as a Palm user.

Only downside is that it has the longest loading time of all programs on my Axim. I might have to delete Mobipocket too.

Great fun looking at my blundering track logs after a cache hunt.

I got the feeling that Plucker picks and chooses content from HTML. Don't you want all the files produced by GPX2HTML after it does it's thing on your .gpx file?

One of the best features of GPX2HTML you didn't mention is that I don't have to install a new reader to use it - it uses IE doesn't it?...maybe I'll try that one...!

I'd prefer something I didn't have to alter before I use it.

I did the search...read the logs...but cannot find a definitive answer as to which viewer is the best. Can anyone explain in small words why they use which viewer they do? What are the best features?
I was using MobiPocket...the worst thing about it was that you had to go to another page for the hints.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the difference between the two.

such as they are in EasyGPS. You can use them but until you upgrade to ExpertGPS they'll have 'holes' in them encouraging you to buy the real deal. Since it's a free download give it a shot and try uploading a track file to it after you look for a cache. If you're anything like me you'll be amazed at how far you wandered over the terrain looking for the dang cache.
I'm not sure why someone would get three different programs for maps and waypoint management when ExpertGPS does it all.

Do you guys live a ranch? Teepee? How on earth do you get a sat lock indoors? My Vista works better then ever outdoors but if I ever need it to find the bathroom it's going to get messy.

You're going to notice a new cache on your list then...

1,400,000 men in World War One. They only lost 100,000 in WW2 because there weren't many men left - oh yeah I read they were fighting against Panzer divisions without any tanks of their own.

will it screw up anything? It won't change someone's find list or anything like that will it?

I think I speak for the majority of geocachers when I say we want quality not quantity. Besides I expect posted pictures and a log of your first geocaching expedition using your GPS.

Now I can't update my Vista or download new waypoints. Anyone have any idea how I get these two to behave? Can I move one of them to another com without stepping on another devices toes? I still have my digital camera, webcam and printer to think about.
The PDA, webcam, and digital camera are all USB if that helps.
Thanks, Faderaven.

Good location for a night vision type cache. People are always in the park after closing - they park in front of the closed gates. No one seems to care. It was the Monmouth Battlefield Video Exchange.
Hmmm....

Would you go for the cache if it was on a nude beach?

I wanna go too!
Unfortunately, I don't have any backpacking gear. Well, I could probably use my tent and a few other things. But I don't have a backpack or sleeping bag that would work. What's the outlay for the bare minimum I would need?
